Vodka tastes like fingernail polish remover! I don't drink martinis, I think they are elegant and sophisticated, but I associate them with my Grandmother.
The key to using vermouth, is to simply coat the glass and then dump it out. I prefer them vodka, straight up, blue cheese olives. I've been told however, a gin martini made correctly is
amazing. I've not been so luck to try it.

1I love gin and the flavour it gives to a martini. A vodka martini may as well be just a watered down vermouth.

5I'm not a fan of gin...it tastes like pine trees. I don't usually drink martinis, either...I usually drink a vodka and diet soda mixer.

11Yup, dirty vodka martini (absolute or ciroq are the best, kettle one is okay) extra olives. Don't get to enjoy them often, but they are my favorite!!!
