i know its so bad for you, but i like it really dark. i think it adds another flavor, and i usually can forego the butter/cream cheese/jam to flavor it!
Not toasted at all most of the time. If the bread is fresh I don't see the point of toasting it. Lightly toasted when it's North American style sandwich bread.
I don't own a toaster so the few times a year when I want toasted bread I just use my cast iron grill pan.
I don't really eat a lot of bread, but when I do eat toast, I like it done under the broiler until it's nice and toasty on the top and a bit softer underneath.
I like mine very lightly toated especially when I make a sandwich. I don't like hard bread at all. They can toast your bread at Subway but I don't do it there either because the timer makes
everybody's medium toasted, and that's not for me.
