People do the weirdest things in the hunt for the "world's record." This time the fine citizens of Collinsville, Illinois have partnered with the H.J. Heinz Co. in order to create the world's largest ketchup packet. The packet, which will contain 130 gallons of ketchup, is being submitted to the Guinness Book of World Records and is 8-feet tall, 4-feet wide and weighs over 1,500 pounds (680 kg).
If you don't believe me, here's a video of the event.

Oh, gosh that's gross. Just disgusting.
My son loved this idea, as he's a Ketchup fanatic. He envisions a gigantic plate of 5' fries to dip into said packet of ketchup. At least it's for a fundraiser and not just for the sake of doing it.
Gross. Seriously Yum. That's just gross!
um...okay?!?!?!
Don't these people have anything better to do? If I were to do this, the whole time I'd feel guilty thinking about the fact such efforts are needed where people are dying of starvation, etc.... uhhh yeah.....
That is amazing and I love it. I heart ketchup. (That being said, I refuse to watch the video.)
weirdy
i love ketchup. about to eat some fries soon. yummy. i don't understand why this is gross?!
Holy geez. That's a lot of ketchup!
Ick!
uhm, was this necessary? lol
ewwww
kind of icky. that said, ketchup is so yummy!
You guys all know that Kroger (or Ralph's depending on where you are) brand ketchup is the freaking BEST, right? It is SO GOOD.
For all you nay-sayers, THIS WAS DONE FOR CHARITY...not just for the sake of doing it.
i'm grossed out.
Well, I love ketchup (I sometimes eat it right out of the packet if I have some extra), which is why this is so despicable! What a waste of ketchup. Even if it is for charity, couldn't they think of something better to do? Something less pointless than filling a tub with ketchup? I don't get how anyone could get a sizeable money for doing that.
gotta rep the hometown/sister city...
