I love both, so how about a gnocchi salad? The best of both worlds! My mom used to make one that used gnocchi, bacon (or pancetta), greens (I like baby spinach or swiss chard), and shaved
parmesan cheese. She served it at room temp and poured the warm bacon drippings (with some other ingreds in it, to make like a warm bacon dressing) over it to wilt the greens a little etc.
Sometimes she'd add cherry tomatoes if they were in the garden. Yumm.
I vote fruit salad...my family always has one called "Aunt Polly's salad" which is basically fresh fruit and real whipped cream....not the lowest in calories but neither are potato or pasta

I find most potato salads too junky. There isnt anything good in them ever. But, there are some pasta salads tossed with olives, artichokes, veggies, etc, so i find it a better choice most of
the time.
Pasta salad........ because most people don't make potato salad the same way i do( i like it deli style). Everyone else i know puts eggs,olives,mustard and whatever other ingredients that i
don't like.

1i don't care for either of these cold (potatoes and pasta). i have a problem eating cold food other than stuff that is "normally" cold of course.
