"Off-centered stuff for off-centered people" is the slogan used on every beer at Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales, a Milton, DE-based craft brewery. Although the company is perhaps best known for its 60-Minute India Pale Ale, it's made headlines recently for being one of the few to produce chicha, a traditional Peruvian beer made out of corn that's been milled and moistened — in the brewer's mouth.
"Ancient brewers through trial and error learned that the natural enzymes in saliva would convert the starch in corn into sugar, so it would ferment," Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione told the New York Times.
Although the beer's boiled for an hour and Calagione claims it's "completely sterile," I simply don't know if I can stomach a drink that has a stranger's saliva in it. What about you?

I'm betting it tastes something like beer that's been backwashed into. So yeah, I probably wouldn't try it.
1I don't drink any beer, so no I would not try this.
2I voted no cause I don't like beer. But the fact that it has been in someone else's mouth really turns me off.
3People eat far more disgusting things regularly, so this doesn't seem like a big deal
4I normally end up with strangers' saliva in my mouth when I drink too much regular beer anyway, so I don't think I'd have a problem with this

8I love Dog Fish Head! Their beer is different and taste great. Try the Punkin Ale or their Apricot Beer!
9I am peruvian, and i've actually tried this and its disgusting, I mean its not worth the saliva...
10I love Dogfish Head too! I normally don't like beer, but they have so many different types, that I'm pretty sure most people can find something to enjoy.
