I only eat anchovies when they are mushed up and cooked into stuff so they don't resemble fish anymore. They're great in Caesar dressing, but otherwise I don't love them.
I actually like both, and yeah, I agree that both are yummy if prepared right. But if I have to choose I like anchovies a little better than sardines.
Mmmm...anchovies, now I'm kind of craving it, I haven't had one in awhile (hub hates both anchovies and sardines LOL).
For me these are two completely different things. Preserved anchovies I've always loved, and find them the ultimate addition to any pizza. Sardines, on the other hand, I've usually only had
fresh. They're amazing when filleted, lightly crumbed, and fried. Mind you, I grew up in a city close to a major seafood port (Perth, Western Australia), with a strong Italian contingent. At
the start of each year, there's a large sardine festival.

2I've never had anchovies, but sardines are AWESOME. I've been meaning to try an anchovy, but I'm not quite sure how I should try it.
3Sardines can be good. Never had anchovies though.
4I like both.
5Where's the option for both? I'll take fish just about any way I can get it.
6I like anchovies and don't think I've ever tried sardines.
7Love both!
8I agree - where's the both button?! My dad ate sardines outta the can a lot when I was growing up, with plain out saltines.
9Most people wouldn't eat either, but both are yummy if prepared correctly.
10You need to try fresh sardines.....Party posted a "how to cook" a couple of months ago......try them on a charcoal grill!
11,,,and bacon wrapped!

Sardines makes me sick! I do not understand how people can eat those thing
14I come from a country where fish and soy are our main sources of protein. I like both fish although anchovies in smaller amounts than sardines.
