Last week I asked you guys what you thought of a set of white cocktail party plates that allow you to hold your wine glass on the side. I love the concept and liked their modern look. However, a bunch of you thought they looked too cheap. Well, TeamSugar member corkie bookmarked these similar wine and dine appetizer trays. This time they're wooden and are a bit more rustic looking. I still prefer the modern ones, but what do you think?

i like that other one you featured a while back better than this one. its a neat concept though!
I am all for these things! I think I like the wood better than the white.
Not for me
I seriously hate these type of wine glass plates. If you are at a party "grazing" use a napkin, only take one or two small pieces of appetizers at a time, you don't need a full plate of food at a wine & cheese tasting.

Ugh, there's no way I would use these.
I prefer the modern ones too, YumSugar.
I like these a little better!
these are too cute. i like the appetizer size because that's what people would usually use at a wine tasting. just enough for some cheese and crackers or a little bit of fruit.
I'm looking for the small simple ones that just sit on top of your wine glass and I can't find them anywhere, just pictures of them. They're smaller and look easier. I like the two shown but they remind me of the BBQ plate/cup organizer.

Found them at the above link
these are great for wine tasting because you can take some stuff and mingle, not keep heading back to the cheese table. Also, creates less trash, not using a billion napkins. People use them alot here in CA wine country. I think they're useful and not too bad looking, so you can't beat that.
I would so drop my wine glass.
mdbzmom - interesting find, i'll have to see what folks think of those next!
Thanks Yum!
These are nice, but I prefer the traditional tapas plates from Sur La Table that were mentioned earlier.
I like these! I must've pissed your post about the first, because I think it's a fantastic concept/idea. It's always frustrating having to balance your wine glass and a napkin/plate at the same time. This will allow people to be less encumbered and more graceful.
I've seen trays like those for tea. You can put the cup of tea on one side, and cookies or a piece of cake on the other. I kind of adore those.
I still don't really like them, but I like the wooden one better than the modern one (I still think that one looked like those cheap, styrofoam sectioned plates). It depends on the occasion. I may like them for casual events, but if it's a nice cocktail party, I don't think they really fit. It's seriously not that difficult to balance a wine glass and a small plate in one hand. It's one of the first things I learned how to do in an etiquette lesson I attended at my business school.
I do like these better, but I still don't think they are 'classy' or 'modern' enough. Maybe they should have used a different wood (like a cherry wood)? I dunno...
i think they're cute but i wouldn't buy them
