Since I just quizzed your knowledge of classic cooking works, I figured I'd go full circle: Whether it's battered and old or trendy and new, I'm curious to know what your most beloved kitchen book is. I have so many, it's hard to pick, but among them, I love the Bon Appétit Cookbook for its exhaustive collection of American recipes, and Ten by Sheila Lukins for its thoroughly tested instructions, as well as On Food and Cooking by Harold McGee. Even though the last isn't technically a cookbook, it's a great resource for understanding the chemical interactions between food ingredients, and the science behind various cooking methods.

Vegan with a Vengeance -- I'm no longer vegetarian, but it has great recipes that I make over and over again.
I love my good old Joy of Cooking books. I learned how to cook using one from the 1960s, and I have three from three different decades. They're good general cooking books.
This is a tough one. I guess my all time favorite is The New Basics by Shelia Lukins too!
My all time favorite is called Southern Sideboards, and is published by the Junior League of Jackson (Mississippi.) It is by far the best cookbook I have ever used, especially if you like southern cooking.
The Master's Cookbooks (as in the golf tournament) - Sounds strange or surprising perhaps, but this collection of old fashioned Southern recipes is top notch. My Dad makes a killer pecan pie from this cookbook.
Hands down the Best Recipe by the authors of Cooks Illustrated.
My go-to cookbook when I want to know something simple is Fannie Farmer by Richie Cunningham's mom.
Sebrina, I heard the Junior League Cookbooks are the best — especially the ones from cities that have SEC teams! I have the San Antonio one, but now I want other ones!
Every book Nigella Lawson has ever written!
