At a baby shower this year, LilSugar sent everyone home with the most clever party favors: crispy rice treats on a stick! They were the perfect parting gift at the shower, but, when adorned with color-coordinated orange sprinkles and ribbons, they'd also make a charming alternative to serve trick-or-treaters on Halloween.
This delight takes less than 10 minutes to come together on the stove top. Evenly press the mixture into a pan coated with cooking spray, and let cool for about five minutes. Cut them to uniform size, roll each into the shape of a ball, and insert sticks through the middle. Wrap treats in individual cellophane bags, and tie with a pretty ribbon.

These are so cute! I think they'd be better to give to party guests than to trick-or-treaters, though. Way back when, when I trick-or-treated, my parents would never let me eat homemade treats from strangers that made their way into my goodie bag, so I bet a lot of these would get (sadly) thrown out. I guess if you know the trick-or-treaters and their parents know you, it's a different story, but just wanted to throw that thought out there.
1fauxcats is totally right. These are better for parties than handing out to strangers. But completely adorable
2yum! i love me some rice krispie treats! i recently found baseball shaped treats at the giants game...it was amazing!
3sweet & yummy !
4I was going to say the same thing as fauxcats. Unfortunately, cute homemade treats only work for people that you know well.
5fauzcats, I totally agree. It's unfortunate, but there were some bad stories in the 80's and 90's of weirdos baking razors in their home made treats and ever since then parents will not allow their children to eat them.
6Great idea for a party, or even to give away at the office or at school though.
