On Thursday, Bravo announced a second season of Top Chef Masters. When I heard the news, I had mixed feelings. While I'm a huge fan of Top Chef, the first season of Masters seemed to drag on. Kelly Choi was annoying and the critics lackluster. Although the participating chefs have not been announced, I'm not sure I want to watch. How about you? Am I the only one who is starting to tire of the Top Chef brand?

Its a new concept even if based on Top Chef... It needs a lil polishing but i think its better than Regular Top Chef...
1I didn't think Kelly was annoying. Sure, her knowledge about cooking/food is limited, but then again, she didn't pretend like she knew. She was a lot more charismatic and articulate than Padma for sure.
2I hated Kelly Choi, well, maybe not hate, but I didn't like her. I liked the points system, it seemed fair and transparent. I missed Tom, but I love Gael.
What I liked best was the lack of drama (I'm starting to hat the Volt Bros. this year because they are so passive aggressive and arrogant. Eli and Mike I. need to leave my TV and never return), rather, I liked seeing chefs at the top of their game, who make amazing food and help each other out, while respecting the fact it's a competition.
3Hate it
4I just don't want another season. top chef masters to me felt like finding the top of the top. i think it kind of kills the point if another round happened. and i wasnt annoyed by kelly choi but she wasnt the best foodie critic.
5I enjoy learning about the chef's background and I always learn some new foods or kitchen tips. I love it and will watch.
6I loved Top Chef Masters!!! More than Top Chef! Loved it!!!
7I agree that Kelly Choi was extremely annoying to watch; I really enjoyed seeing master chefs compete against each other.
8Masters is so much better than regular Top Chef. I want to see professionals excelling at their craft and supporting each other. I don't want to waste my time with cutthroat or bad behavior unless it has something to do with their professional behavior (see Chiarello on the buffet challenge) because that takes time away from learning something actually interesting about professional cooking.
Last year's TCM showed that is possible to do this in a competitive setting. BBCs Great British Menu is another good example.
9i loved top chef masters even more so than top chef...but i definitely hated kelly choi.
10lol. what is it about these lovely hostesses that i find annoying too? i really quite put my finger on it. top chef masters wasn't as exciting as top chef, but it was enjoyable for the most part. maybe i'll just stick with iron chef and top chef.
11Dang, PartySugar,
12Don't be hate-in! Masters is better than regular top chef. Kelly Choi is more animated than Padma and her I'm-so-great-I-don't-even-have-to pretend-to-have-a-pulse speaking skills. Seriously, the girl needs a red bull and a stylist.
Kelly is super obnoxious. Plus she weighs -2 lbs, which makes me question whether or not she eats!
