Depends on the situation. I wouldn't mind sitting at the table above by myself or with a few friends, but if it was a more formal dinner I'd like my party to have our own table.

I don't mind this, but I rarely find myself engaging in convos with strangers because I'm at a communal table.

2I am so over communal tables, but if the restaurant is really crowded and popular and the wait is long, then yes, I will sit at the communal.
