Amazing that the only question I got right was the temperature of the turkey.

I remember because my little sister was in charge of the turkey last year and was freaking out about the temperature verus time and the whole drying out aspect. The darn bird just didn't want to get to 165*.

This would be great. We have a big family. 6 original plus two married in plus 8 kids plus my sister-in-laws mom who is fabulous soemtimes an additional 4 of my cousins family and sometimes an additional three from my sister-in-laws sister her hubs and child. Although it seems like a ton our general Sunday dinner crew is about 20 so thanksgiving just adds a few more. The more the merrier.

We have Thanksgiving out at the lake in the new cottage with all the bells and whistles. Have had it there since 1948 when my parents bought the ramshackel cottage with more holes than roof and hole in the ground facilities. Then there were seven of us, today there are 23 of us. A great dinner will be had by all and many memories will be re-lived and passed onto the next generation. Can it get any better than that?

I got trussing wrong and hubby asked me Sunday if we should go to Santa Rosa and pick out our turkey. As a winner this would save me the trip. I'd still like to visit the farm though.

Winning this prize is the only way my family will have a Thanksgiving dinner after I have been laid off work at three jobs in a year and a half.

I found out this week that my in-laws are NOT having Thanksgiving dinner...they're going on vacation!! Help! I have to have it at my house for 14 people. I can cook, but, I will be the only one cooking this year.
