for liquors I utilize frequently or want to have around, I'll buy a big bottle, but nips or even just smaller sizes are good if you're having a small gathering or if you want to try something
new
I buy nips all the time, especially for drinks that only require a small amount of something. But sometimes you just need to pony up the cash when you find yourself buying certain mignonettes
over and over again!
We don't keep alcohol in the house, so no big bottles. But these would be good for the rare times I'm wanting a cocktail but don't want to have to go out to get one.

1I've bought them to try out something I've never had, before committing to the purchase of a big bottle.
2they're the perfect size for liqueur spiked frosting or cake.
3If I just want to try something or just need it for a recipe I buy the small bottles.
4I'm with the above posters, if it's something new or just need a little bit, I'll buy the nips; otherwise I stick to the full sized version.
5Sometimes you only need a tablespoon or two for a recipe. Why spend $30 on a full-sized bottle?

7Also, I wish I could reuse the bottles for something — but I haven't thought of anything brilliant yet. If anyone has ideas, let me know!
8Yum,
Make homemade vanilla extract and use the empty nip bottles to make stocking stuffers for The Holidays!
9I like them.
10fuzzles, what a stellar idea! Thanks!
11Cute idea #9!
12I don't mean to sound stupid here, but what is a nip?
13I don't know if you're from the south jesssa, but down here we call nips airplane bottles.
I use them for when I'm bringing liquor to a football or basketball game. Very handy.

15I use them for recipes when I need only a few tablespoons of alcohol.
16Aren't those super expensive if you compare the per ounce price with big bottles?
