I've tried octopus, and deep fried clam strips. I say the deep fried clam strips don't count 'cause they tasted like... well... breading. So, I'd like to try clams someday soon.
Clams! I've tried octopus and squid and am not too enthused about either. Clams are great (although they don't beat oysters or mussels. Shelled mullusks are just generally good)!
I prefer clams (linguine with clam sauce=yum!), but octopus isn't bad either. My favorite seafood (and the reason I will never, ever be a vegetarian) is shrimp, though.
Propery cooked octopus isn't rubbery though. So anyone who has had rubbery octopus or squid should try it agan made by someone who specalizes in seafood.
I Like them both, but I really prefer clams. The photo of the clams, however, looks disgusting to me. I absolutely hate any kind of seafood combined with a tomato base!!!
I love clams when steamed in a broth of white wine and garlic or linguini wih clam sauce.
When cooked incorrectly octopus is too tuff, but I had a seafood stew at the Circo restaurant at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas that was soooo good. The octopus in the wonderful stew was
tender and tasty.
i eat anything in the seafood family 'cause its alot better for you.. i've tasted 'em all all sorts of fish, shells, octopus'..squid.. i'll try anything
I've had octopus (I tried on my vacation! btw, i love going new places and trying local cuisine...it was in puerto rico, and it was a spanish food (can't remember the name) with a cron type
cake with this octopus on top)
anyway, it was SO TOUGH! I would chew and chew and chew and nothing would happen haha. Tasted good, but I would chose clams over it for this reason.
I love clams but only with chowder and I love Octopus. I could eat any seafood, mussels, shrimp, lobster, crab, yum you made me hungry now for seafood!

This soup ends up being a good source of three blood pressure-lowering minerals since the milk adds calcium and the potatoes deliver a dose of potassium, as well as magnesium.
Neither!

5Having had both, I prefer the clams.
6I love seafood! But yeah, we eat everything here haha.
7It depends on the preparation. I don't like raw clams or oysters. And octopus has to be prepared just right or else it's like eating rubber.
8I like clams but never tried octopus and do not think I would want to.
9Yummy! Clams!
10Both. I've had clams & eating octopus doesn't gross me out.
11mmmmmmmmmmmm both! especially grilled octopus with lemon olive oil...

16I've had both and I definitely prefer the clams. Octopus is just a tad too rubbery for my taste.
17I prefer clams (linguine with clam sauce=yum!), but octopus isn't bad either. My favorite seafood (and the reason I will never, ever be a vegetarian) is shrimp, though.

Propery cooked octopus isn't rubbery though. So anyone who has had rubbery octopus or squid should try it agan made by someone who specalizes in seafood.
22i like seafood, but the idea of eating tentacles does not sit well with me.
23how can someone not like seafood... that is so sad.

28I'm all about the squid. Never tried octopus... clams, don't remember if I've had them or not... But if I had my choice... bring on the calamari!

32I Like them both, but I really prefer clams. The photo of the clams, however, looks disgusting to me. I absolutely hate any kind of seafood combined with a tomato base!!!

33There's a place near my house that makes the best calamari - always tender, never tough or chewy...its an art.

35mmm, tako poke.
36I love anything fish or seafood!!!
37I'd rather have squid.

40I prefer clams, and squid more than octopus. But shellfish is my favourite ALWAYS
41I think I'd eat clams before octopus, but you can make almost anything palatable with the right techniques.
42I love both. I love fried calamari!
43Clams are yummy, but octopus sushi is divine!
44I've had octopus (I tried on my vacation! btw, i love going new places and trying local cuisine...it was in puerto rico, and it was a spanish food (can't remember the name) with a cron type cake with this octopus on top)
anyway, it was SO TOUGH! I would chew and chew and chew and nothing would happen haha. Tasted good, but I would chose clams over it for this reason.
45I like both - but I would probably choose octopus first
