Orzo
When translated from Italian, orzo literally means barley. However it is actually a type of pasta. Smaller than a pine nut, this rice shaped pasta makes a wonderful ingredient in soups and salads.

this is one of my favorite pastas! I don't eat it often, but occasionally it makes for a great side dish.
1I just bought a box or orzo for the very first time. I'm going to use it in a stuffed pepper dish.
2Love, love orzo...I find that I order it, and make it at home. You can experiment so much w/ orzo, cold, hot, spicy, bland, it's all good.
3I love orzo also; I boil it in chicken broth and add parmesan cheese. YUMMYYY
