This week's bento comes from flickr user SanDee Sun. Her cute My Melody bento box was made for her niece and I wonder if she thought it was too cute to eat!

very cute.. but it dosen't look like it tastes good.
apparently, that's not pink sugar on the rice... it's Sakura denbu. (seasoned ground codfish) Different foods for different cultures, I suppose. On one hand, I'd love to have enough time to cook and make my lunch all cute and pretty... on the other hand... I'd love to have enough time to actually just make my lunch!
I love the Hot Dog Octupi.

Very cute! I wish my lunches looked like this when I was younger!

Cute but would take to long to make to actually be practical.

I love the creativity and presentation skills that go into making these artistic bento boxes. I always get the itch to buy a bento box and molds. They're a great way to watch your portions, even if you're not sculpting masterpieces.
This is off the hook! I love Sanrio!
Do I see some of those crazy split open hotdogs in that bento?? Oh the shame...
so Japanese! cute. love it:)the sausage split open, its called the "octopus sausage" from the way it looks.
