After watching last night's episode of Kitchen Nightmares, I started to wonder just how many functioning restaurant's kitchens are filled with rodents, bugs, and rotting food. How on earth did Dillions/Purnima pass the health inspection? No wonder the case against Ramsay was dropped, Martin the manager was a total hag. Even after the changes I'm still not sure if I would want to dine there. How about you? What did you think of last night's episode? Would you eat at Purnima?

Only if I knew that the chef that Gordon brought in would be there. Hotness!
1ok last night was the first time i watched it and nastyyyyyyyyy but i would still eat there now. i dont think the owner was aware and he was losing a lot of money, im sure he realises that if he keeps it clean, he will be making money, not losing it.
2p.s. i love chef ramsay but he's kind of a dick head. and that manager martin, what a douche.
That totally digusted me, and I too wondered how they could get by the health inspectors...makes ya' wonder, doesn't it? I could never eat at "Purnima" after seeing this. I wouldn't be surprised if their doors closed very soon.
3If Vikas was retained on an ongoing basis, I might have confidence that Ramsay's standards are being maintained.
Um yeah...did anyone else find Vikas incredibly hot?
4...hot.
5No, I don't think I would. I don't think I could be confident that Gordon's standards were being kept up.
6LOL at the hag comment.
And yes, Vikas was a hottie.
I was totally grossed out by everything in that restaurant. I know it is tv and they need to do everything quickly for the sake of the camera's. However, there is no way that they could have cleaned that place up(bug's and rodents)in such a short time. Those things would have eggs all over the place. I doubt that the showed an actual representation of the time frame. I also, don't see how the owner could not tell that everything was so disgusting.
Oh...and Vika's was definitely gorgeous.
7Vikas is so hot. Yay for hot Indians!!
8Lol, I loved Vikas too. Yummy.
That was the craziest show I think I've EVER seen. I felt so grossed out. Chef Ramsay puts up with alot but he's definitely the best man for the job. The man is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
And, I'd only go if Vikas was there.
9I watched it & yes, Vikas is sexy hot. I'll bet he looks just as good, or even better, cooking breakfast in his jammies!
I was really torn between putting all of the blame on the GM. If there were that many flies buzzing around the tables, the owner had to know about it. Who owns a restaurant & doesn't go into the kitchen & basement, especially to find out where all the flies are coming from?!!
I was also really torn between the actual "reality" of last night's episode. I know reality tv is not all "real" and last night's episode was way over the top, from the nastiness in the basement to the fighting with the GM.
Even though, it was entertainment.
10Martin sucked. The owner is a timid little mouse, he wasn't disgusted by the conditions but felt huge embarrassment, that was evident. It was a pathetic excuse for a restaurant until Ramsay came along.
11This version of the show suffers from the lack of a 6 months later type epilogue. I wouldn't go anywhere near Purnima. I wouldn't trust them to keep the place clean when they let it get that bad!
12well now that it's clean.. yeah
13Well.. lets see if they do an update show... then maybe if its still good... maybe...
I'd still be worried about green chicken though...*shiver*
14Check this out, a recent review of Purnima: http://www.ifood.tv/blog/amazing_tandoori_chicken_filled_with_spinach_an...
15While most kitchens are not this bad, you probably would not eat at almost any restaurant if you checked out the kitchen. As a dishwasher I have been in many kitchens.
16Ugh - it was like watching a horror movie! So disgusting. I don't honestly know if I could get past the visions of bugs and rotten meat to try it.
17i don't know what that show is but no, i wouldn't if i knew it had rodents etc.
18i would certainly rather look at vikas than martin! that said, i'm with chief dishwasher up there. most restaurant kitchens would freak you out. i worked at a hospital cafeteria while i was going to school, and you would not believe the grossness i witnessed there.
19my husband was yelling at the tv "get that tomato! oh my god the tomato! dont eat it dude!"
I wouldnt eat there, i dont like indian food, and i would just be recalling visions of slimy salad, roaches, and furry hamburgers.
Martin made himself look bad, no wonder the lawsuit was dropped. What a limp noodle.
20vikas is great. i have bean watching tons of his video recipes at this link - http://www.ifood.tv/vikas_khanna
This chocolate pudding recipe of his is just awesome
21I never use the word hate but I'm close toit when talking about Gordon Ramsey.....he's SO RUDE!!!! And so mean!!! I don't watch him at all!
22Yeah, Gordon Ramsey is an ass, but I kind of agreed with him when he was hollering about the bugs and rotten food and it was funny when he got all up in that manager dude's face.
23But, no, I wouldn't eat there.
I wonder if it will close soon.
I have worked in several restaurants and they were all pretty clean. It depends on the management and how strictly they adhere to sanitation standards.
I have never watched Kitchen Nightmares before, maybe I was still freaked out of Hell's Kitchen and all that drama. I started reading to this YUM Board and was compelled to see the show on youtube. Man what a drama, I feel that its better (much better) than hell's kitchen. Atleast Martin was a big time loser and Gordon got rid of him, I used to to work with someone as lazy and pathetic as Martin but never could get thim fired. I was happy to see the as everyone is calling "PERFECTLY SCULPTED-DUSKY-SEXY-INDIAN CHEF-VIKAS". He looks kinda look alike of Padma, host of topchef. Anyway it was a delight to see someone so cool in middle of the Nightmare.
