I was about ten years old when I had my first snickerdoodle cookie. I had no idea what one looked like, but recall being excited by the idea. A cookie, made with a Snickers candy bar? Oh how fantastic!
Imagine my surprise when the cookies arrived and I saw that they were just sugar cookies coated in cinnamon sugar. There were no Snickers bars, or doodles for that matter. While I enjoyed the cookie tremendously, it still left a small void in my heart. A void that could only be filled by cookies stuffed with mini Snickers bar. To get the void-filling, totally tasty recipe — peanut butter cookies with gooey candy chunks! — read more

Oh, fabulous! This is what I always wanted Snickerdoodles to be!
snickerdoodles are soooo yummy, but i will have to try these snickers ones!
My dad would flip for these! He is a Snickers fanatic. I think I know what he will be getting for his birthday...
ohhhhh yeah! this is what it's all about!
finally, my world is complete.
I used to make a totally easy, cheater version of this using pre-made chocolate chip cookie dough and mini milky ways. Mini peanut butter cups work, too. I found that cutting the candy pieces into quarters first helped them spread out through the inside of the cookies while they baked.
Oh, this is just wrong, Yum! You're ruining my diet!
I agree Kaciegrrl!! 1 CUP BUTTER?!?
oh man that looks good!
***SLOBBER!!!***
This is SUCH a dietbuster in so many ways, but I want to try it!
Such an indulgent recipe. Hehe. Perfect for Halloween!
oo YUM!
ccsugar - i hate to tell you, but 1 cup of butter is 2 sticks, that's what most cookie recipes call for.
BuzzSugar.. thanks for the tip about cutting the bars into pieces first- I bet that makes the cookies smaller, too.
Omg! I want one..I wish I could reach through my computer screen to get one..
YAY... these cookies look perfect!
I'm staring at the Halloween candy by my desk at work right now, only wondering what type of cookies I could make...
I wonder if you could do this with other types of candy
these are absolutely delicious. i've had mulitple people tell me that they are 'the best cookies ever'.
Loved these cookies. Made them for a group of 5th grade girls. They thought they were so cool--and delicious. They wanted to eat them just to find out if there were really Snickers inside.
Yours look more even than mine. There was a hump in the middle from the snickers bar.
I totally agree!!! I hate cream of tartar and can't bear the sight of it - these snickers cookies are such a wonderful breath of fresh (and cream of tartar-less) air.
