In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Hershey's Company is producing limited edition versions of some of their popular products: Kisses, Nuggets, Syrup, and Peppermint Patties. They will also contribute $300,000 to the Young Survival Coalition, a non-profit network of breast cancer survivors and supporters dedicated to addressing the concerns and issues unique to young women and breast cancer.

“The Young Survival Coalition is proud to work with Hershey’s powerful brands to raise awareness for our important mission,” said Michele Przypysny, Chief Executive Officer, Young Survival Coalition. “Our partnership with The Hershey Company has helped us to provide vital programs and services for young women and their families.”

The products all have special pink packaging and are designed to help raise awareness. They should be available in stores for the entire month of October.

Thanks to TeamSugar for telling me about this one!

    This is a SCAM ladies

    a SCAM

Sure they donate a paltry 300,000 dollars .. chump change to a company as large as Hershey

But they jack their prices up so you're paying 2 - 3 dollars more because it's PINK..

So while they donate 300,000 dollars they're making millions off your emotional buying

    Suckers

wiciltd- there is no need to be witchy... If it is something that you are going to purchase anyways (and Hershey's is something I definitely purchase) then no harm no foul. Plus, I have not seen that any of it is marked up... Just because someone chooses to buy "pink" does not mean you need to criticize, plus you don't know that they are not giving money in a more direct manner.

Judge not lest you be judged.

Eating chocolate for a fantastic cause, what could better? I like how some companies step up and offer special products where the proceeds go to breast cancer research.
