I get up, get ready, my boyfriend drops me off at the bus, then i take that bus to the subway (where i buy a coffee and bagel [12 grain!]) and then take the subway and then another bus... and
then im at work finally lol. it works well for me!
So i get up around 5:45 and I have my breakfast around 7:15. Is that good? or is that too long after i wake up?
I usually eat breakfast within half an hour after waking up while I read my morning headlines, and then I get ready with the rest of my routine. I can't function without something in my
system!
I don't eat breakfast!
I never have had a craving too! I have like a bottle of water and a coffee or tea usually...saturdays I usually make a huge brunch for my boyfriend though!
I guess that's they way I was brought up, though, my parents NEVER EVER ate breakfast, maybe a muffin at most...and as I grew older it was the same for me.
I'm up at 4:45 every morning and have a glass of juice with my vitamins. I have to be out of the house by 5:45, so I bring my breakfast with me to work(a hard-boiled egg, fruit and rice
cakes) and eat it around 9:00 a.m. at my desk.
I get up at 5:30am, brush my teeth then have a bowl of Kashi Go lean Crunch, a cup of coffee or tea, and a glass of grapefruit juice. Then I get ready for work. I'm never hungry in morning
but if I don't eat something then I'm starving at 9am and won't be able to eat anything until noon.
I eat at work, chai tea (i either make it or dash into one of the 3 starbucks within a block of my building, but what I eat varies. Most times I make 'breakfast muffins' on Sunday night
(ginger pumpkin w/ raisins, or wholewheat oatmeal w/ nuts) and they last through the week - I unless my husband decides to take 3 a day (grrr)
I generally don't. If I eat breakfast, I drag all day and have the munchies constantly. If I wait a few hours until I'm actually hungry and then have a snack, I do much better on both energy
level and my portion control throughout the day.
Now that I'm pregnant and over morning sickness, all bets are off. Eat anytime. Anywhere.
I chose after I get ready but it's actually after I get the kids ready and right before I get ready. I have to get them started first, they take longer!
I don't really eat breakfast. Lots of times I wake up and the thought of food makes me sick, I can NEVER eat right after waking up. So I work out than get my double short cappuccino on the
way to work and at 11:30 everyday I eat a banana.
this is completely off topic, but that lil fam in the pic is so freaking cute! i want to eat those kids for breakfast (not literally, but you know what i mean)!
I can't eat breakfast first thing, I have medication that has to be taken on an empty tummy, so I have to wait at least an hour after I take it to eat...Bleh
It really just depends. Most mornings, I get up, I shower, and then I have breakfast (Carnation, anyway). Weekends it's more or less whenever I get hungry. (At which time it may be considered
lunch.)
Normally I don't want to eat when I first get up. I'll have a glass of milk and take my vitamin, and then I either grab something and eat in the car, or pick up something on the way in. I
work in a hospital/university setting, so there are lots of options.
Lately I've been trying to make sure I have a piece of fruit with whatever it is, just to get in all those fruits and veggies I need to eat every day.
Oh my, I was shocked at how many of you say you get up between 4:30 and 5:30, that is so early! and to work out on top of that, I give you guys props, I can barely get up at 6:30
Always after I get dressed. I'm so slow in the mornings I need to do things in order of priority - get up, dressed, fix bed-head i.e. my hair, have breakfast. I have to be left the house at
7.15am so sometimes I'll skip breakfast at home, and grab something at work.
I'm with Lianna - can't believe how early some people have to get up!
I have to get up around 6:30 most days, but I usually eat yogurt with some granola or fruit in it while I'm getting ready (i.e. mascara...bite...brush hair...bite) I can't skip breakfast - it's my favorite meal of the day!
I, too, am one of those people who can't eat as soon as I get up: it makes me sick. So I usually eat 45 minutes to 1.5 hours after I get up. But I will have a glass of calcium-fortified OJ or
Pom juice with my vitamins as I'm getting ready.
I went to a dietician, and she recommended eating within one hour of waking up, even if it is something small in order to curb cravings later in the day. It is really true, I used to eat when
I got to work, but was really snacky later in the morning. Now even though I eat earlier, I am not hungry later in the morning.
I wake up, eat two pieces of fresh fruit, get dressed (to let the fruit digest), then eat my oatmeal with blueberries and a cup of white tea. Every morning no matter what! It's a
non-negotiable. I eat this even on the weekends when I cook my boyfriend a fried breakfast. Yum, I love it!
If I absolutely had no time, I have homemade protein bars in the freezer that I could grab on the way out the door, but I'd never go without. I know I've said this before, but I cannot
function without breakfast!! It's the one thing I'm really anal about.
I usually wake up around 6-6:15 and get to work by 7:30, meaning I eat my usual breakfast of Light and Fit yogurt with trail mix, Triscuits, a banana and Starbucks at my desk, while reading
the morning headlines.
I've never been one for breakfast, even when I was a kid. All the cereals and stuff... never liked them much. My mom tried granola bars, pop tarts, everything. Finally when I got to
highschool she started making me a sandwich for breakfast so I'd eat it in the car on the way to school. I didn't eat it because I wanted to, I ate it to make her feel better. To this day I
don't eat breakfast. I get up, shower, dress and have my coffee. Maybe 2 hours later I'll have some oatmeal or something like that but rarely.

17Yea Greggie I'm the same. I find if I eat breakfast, I am wanting to eat WAY more durning the day, and am more comfortable and tired and sluggish.
18when I get to work. On the weekend it is when I get up, unless the hubby is still sleeping then I wait.
19I chose after I get ready but it's actually after I get the kids ready and right before I get ready. I have to get them started first, they take longer!

21Some times I eat breakfast, some times I don't. I try to squeeze in a bowl of Special K, but some times that doesn't work out.
22this is completely off topic, but that lil fam in the pic is so freaking cute! i want to eat those kids for breakfast (not literally, but you know what i mean)!
23I don't like to east as soon as i get up so i usually eat at work, we have a toaster so either i will have toast/bagel or crackers or something quick.
24I often find that I don't hungry until about 11, so I often skip breakfast.
25i like to have a small bowl of ceral in the morning when i get to work to hold me over until lunch time and thats about it!
26I get up around 7:30 and am out the door around 7:45. I eat when I get to work at about 8:30.

Anyway, during the week I eat breakfast at work. 9am.
Weekends? Not really into breakfast - but I like coffee brought to me in bed...

37I have about the same schedule as musefromnowhere. Early start, get ready and eat while getting ready to leave the door.
38After my workout and shower, but before I "get ready".

46Several hours after I wake up. I can't eat when I first get up - I literally feel ill if I do.
