Poblano
A type of green chile with a rich mild flavor. It's slightly spicier than a bell pepper with the best ones being from Mexico. They are best fresh in Summer and early Fall, although they are also available canned. Dried, they are referred to as ancho chiles. They are the best chile for making chiles rellenos.

I have a sort of pepper theme in my kitchen but with the red picante peppers. Smiling

Here in Washington, DC I love to eat at the Museum of the American Indian. It's seriously like the best cafeteria (excepting maybe that Conde Nast one I always hear about). I had a delicious Poblano Pepper stuffed with veggies, chicken, cheese, beans and potatoes...it was insane!
