At the age of 42, the Pillsbury Doughboy — aka Poppin' Fresh — is looking good for his age. He hasn't needed any Botox and looks just as good as he did when he first debuted on Nov. 7, 1965. Although his outside appearance has stayed the same — he's computer generated now, but was originally a plaster and foam-rubber puppet — his interests have changed. Over the years he's appeared as an opera singer, a painter, a sky diver, a skateboarder, an accordion player, and more.
If you're wondering what he was like when he started, check out an early commercial below. When you're done, jump to the next page for a few more.

I love the doughboy and all, but seriously, if I started whacking things in the kitchen and a fat little white man wearing nothing but a hat and a scarf popped out, I would not be shaking his hand. Running away in fear, yes.

3I always loved the little giggle he does after being poked in the belly...
4Bella you crack me up!
5Darmit, I'm gonna buy me some cinnamon rolls right now!
6I used to watch Poppin' Fresh and the Snuggle bear like they were mini-cartoon programs.
