My dad is a Vietnam vet.
4Cute! There were vets at our farmers' market giving away hand-made red poppies for every donation they received. I didn't know red poppies were their symbol.

6The poppy thing comes from a poem called "In Flanders Field" Beautiful poem, a real tear jerker.

8I was in Cornwall during this(England). The british legion was selling flowers, wreaths, and boquets to raise money. It was so amazing to see everyone wearing their flowers in support.
