One of the great things about Fall is the abundance of harvest beers and ales. Sure it's part of the whole limited-edition food trend, but because the hops are harvested and created specifically with Fall in mind, I'm willing to buy into it. These ales are wonderfully festive and make for a great addition to your party bar options or while watching the big game. I've gathered up a few of the ones I've seen in my stores, such as Buffalo Bill's Pumpkin Ale, but I know that there are a lot of regional ones in the US and the rest of the world. Do you have a favorite harvest ale? If so, tell us about it below!

I've never tried any of this stuff!!!
1t mmm old chicago has some great pumpkin ales on tap!!! i love 'em
2Unfortunately, I'm not a beer drinker. They all taste the same to me, and that is, bitter. Yuck! I'm a hard alcohol kinda girl.
3I've never had a pumpkin beer that I didn't like, but my favorite is definitely Dogfish Head "Punkin" Ale. Delicious! Saranac also makes a great one.
4Mmmm. Beer. -homer simpson drool-
Buffalo Bill's and Blue Moon ain't bad. My boyfriend enjoys the Bills more than I do. Takes me a while to drink it, but I do like the Blue Moon more. Pretty good actually. :an:
My friend had a good pumpkin ale over in this town Kernville at the Kern River Brewery. Tiny place! Rockbottom breweries usually have good beer all year round and their seasonal Scary Cat White isn't bad.
I had this really good seasonal beer over at the Six Rivers Brewery up in McKinleyville (just north of Arcata, just north of Eureka). I think it was a pumpkin ale. Don't remember much of that night other than some damn good drinks
5i absolutely love Blue Moon so i must try the pumpkin...I don't know if the Blue Point brewery has a pumpkin brew but their winter ale is awesome
6I wasn't impressed by Buffalo Bill's Pumpkin Ale. I love ales, but I didn't like the beer base flavor, let alone the pumpkin flavor they added. Four bottles have gone un-drank since I bought it in early October-- and NO beer goes untouched around me and my friends. Wa waaa.
7The Pumpkin Ale is yummy!
8ginger apple beer. Make it with the kids.
9O i need to try this! I'll have to see if they have it here!
10My father plans on trying this tomorrow...
11The Ship's Inn Pumpkin Ale is the best out there.
12These are some great dieas. Never knew there was so much variety.
13YAY! Thanks for representing Abita Beer. It's a great Louisiana staple. The pecan harvest is pretty good but definitely not their best seasonal ale. (The Strawberry Ale is absolutely to die for, it comes out late spring!)
14I love pumpkin beer!!!
15my favorite is sea dog pumpkin (from ME) or dog fish head pumpkin (from DE).
16Wow, what a goofy name,
17If only I liked beer...
18mamaseacat I'm with you-or maybe a nice white wine.
