Welcome to our new recurring feature, would you eat this? With so many interesting dishes and exotic ingredients out there, I'm dying to know your culinary limitations! I like to believe my adventurous tastebuds will allow me to try anything, but I gag just thinking about digesting bugs or balut.
To get things started I've selected a dish not too high on the gag-o-meter. Stephan of Hands on Gourmet recommends drinking a Bloody Mary the Friday after Thanksgiving in order to cure hangovers and food comas. Not your average Bloody Mary, his is filled with leftover veggies like green beans and cooked carrots. It's garnished with a celery stick and a thick slice of bacon. I think it sounds interesting but might be too much, especially when hung over. I would probably be able to eat one. How about you? Would you eat/drink this Bloody Mary?

i'm not a fan of regular bloody marys and that one just doesn't look appetizing in the least
1Mmmm honeslty, this looks good to me!
2I'm with ashcwebb! I adore Bloody Marys and this one looks great to me! Don't forget to stir in the horeseradish!!!
3Blech. That looks a little overwhelming to me. I like my classic Bloody Mary or a Cajun Bloody Mary from time to time -- extra spicy please!
4This one looks good, but I don't know if I would be able to drink it with a hangover. I seriously want a bloody Mary now though!
5My husband would be all over that.
6I would eat/drink it if it didn't have alcohol.
7i'm gagging just looking at it...all those flavors mixing together...gag
8Holy...
9Bacon? Are you serious?
10I was fine with it until I saw the bacon. ew.
11sounds good to me!!!!
12Bacon????
13i'm not a fan of regular bloody marys, i like them virgin, so i'd definitely drink this without the vodka. looks quite tasty, like a hearty veggie soup.
14I love bloody Marys, but that one looks nasty...ok maybe just the bacon in there.
15I drink Bloody Marys all the time and am disappointed when it's garnished with only a couple tiny green olives. This looks like the ULTIMATE! I must have one.
16No way Jose!
17I want one right now!
18No way. That looks totally gross.
Balut - funny that you mention that. I used to eat it when I was a little girl because I didn't know what I was eating. Actually I never ate the bird, just the other stuff around it. When I got older I realized what I was eating then stopped. As I recall, it was actually tasty but the mental image of what I was eating is disgusting.
I think I'm going to like this new recurring feature.
19No WAY!!!!
20Aboslutely not. I don't like any alcoholic beverage that's not sweet sweet sweet, so Bloody Marys aren't for me, and this looks especially heinous.
21My goodness, it's like a gazpacho
22I doubt I would...
23THe bacon makes me want it so much...
24Marseeah, so funny you say that. Maybe it's crazy pregnancy food things but the bacon in the bloody mary sounds so good!
25I am willing to try anything once
26No thanks. I don't like crazy garnishes on my Bloody Mary's.
27And seriously, bacon?
28whatever that stuffed thing in it is--it turns me off
29Well, interesting.
This is the way they are always made with the people I hang out with.....
Mainly my boyfriend's family makes them like this. I still don't understand the fascination!
Whatever floats your boat I guess.
30That looks pretty satisfying.
31The absolute LAST thing I want after a day of gorging myself is more food. Seriously.
32A regular Bloody Mary, yes, absolutely.
But this one, no!
33It's an entire garden in there!
34Bacon, green beans and cooked carrots do not belong in drinks. Sick.
35You know me, I'll eat just about anything! But honestly, i love a bloody mary, i'd definitely give it a try.
36I love bloody marys...and I love veggies in them...but... that seems like a bit much to me. I'd leave out the bacon thats for sure.
37Veggies? Good. Bloody Mary? Good. Bacon? GOOD!!!
I'd house that shizz.
38Mmm.. Blood Marys are so good! I would totally get this one. There's a whole jungle in there!
39BLEGH!
