hands down Anthony Bourdain.
I love you, Alton!! "Good Eats" is my favorite cooking show EVER!!!
I like Michael Chiarello, love watching his show when I catch it.
While I love love love Alton's vast knowledge, Guy Fieri is a local boy, and therefore my favorite. I've been to all of his restaurants and was a fan way before he did the Food Network show.
Love him!
bourdain all the way!! colicchio is a distant second, followed waaaaaay behind by everyone else
Alton Brown, He's knowledgeable and funny. And he doesn't have that annoying Emeril voice. Tyler & Bobby are close seconds. Anthony always seems a little "dirty" to me!
What about my man Dave Lieberman!? He's a cutie pie.
I voted for my second favorite, Alton Brown.
This was a difficult choice! Anthony Bourdain is hilarious, but ultimately I picked Alton, because even with my culinary school education, I always learn something new from his shows.
It was a toss up between Tom Colicchio and Anthony Bourdain but I have to give it to Anthony.
jamie oliver!
alton brown by a mile!
I'm glad I'm not the only one with a secret crush on Alton.
alton's so fun with his kitchen kookiness
I like so many of them it was really hard to choose!
Anthony Bourdain because he reminds me of my husband...tall, thin, smokes like a chimney, prefers meat over all other foods. Big drinker, dark hair with gray...what can i say? I have a type and he's it. Plus, he broods, which seals the deal. and he's a good writer, of course.
Robert Irvine and Alton Brown...i go to bed watching them every night, they're my boys!
Geek Love! Alton Brown!
This was a hard decision! I chose Alton, because besides just giving the basics on everything, he shows you technique, which is something you can not read in a recipe!
Alton, because his show isn't just about "Oooh, yummy" it's also a learning expirience. And he's funny.
I LOVE THEM ALL!!! I picked Gordon cause I love Kitchen Nightmares but I also love No Reservations very much. Next quiz - can we pick the one we don't like? That would be hard also.
Gordon is my favorite, though Alton is a close second. My least favorite would be...Rocco Dispirito.
Anthony all the way!!!!
I love Alton's food-nerdiness, and how he shows the right way to do everything. Bobby Flay is a close second because I love "Throwdown.:
Alton Brown is just so great! Love his scientific spin on things, but he still knows how to make things fun.
Anthony Bourdain rocks. . . and he even quit smoking!!
LOOOOOVE alton...he went to my college after all...and then he won a peabody award, the prestigious broadcasting awards given away by my journalism school.
but i till adore bobby, guy, tyler, and michael....anthony honestly scares me a little. once you see a guy eat a still-beating cobra heart...it worries you.
I'm going to go with someone nobody has heard of: Lachlan Mackinnon. He's a young chef in Colorado and he's been featured a few times on Bittman's The Best Recipes in the World show on PBS. He seems really smart and skilled at what he does. But, alas, he's not a reality TV star so nobody knows him.
i love Alton, he great. his show is so entertaining.
I'm similar to Janelthechef. I love Alton's vast knowledge and quirky humor, plus he lives in the neighborhood beside me growing up!!!! but I love Bourdain...he's bad a** attitude and sarcasm is so endearing plus he knows his stuff!
Bourdain!!
Ty-ler! Ty-ler! Ty-ler!
Tyler is my hands down favorite on Food network. I love that he finally has a set time for his show! Plus he is the very reason I know how to fry up chicken without the batter falling off.
Whoever the last guy is I love watching him because he is so damn cute!!!
it was too hard for me to choose between Alton and Anthony Bourdain...
i chose AlTton in the end
Hard decision! I love Michael Chiarello's dishes, but I never miss an episode of Guy's Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives
Love Anthony Bourdain but I don't think I've ever seen him cook.
Alton.. Jamie.. & Rocco!
Even though I was watching really old episodes of his show and remembered how much of an ass he was :/
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Alton Brown!!!! I own his cookbooks. Tyler Florence is awesome, too!
So many to choose from... I know Jamie Oliver hasn't been around much. I would've voted for him.
Guy is definitely still a college frat boy at heart and the one that can party.
He's not on the list, but I'd have to say Jamie Oliver!
Jamie Oliver all the way! I love his passionate approach to food and all of the work he has done trying to improve school dinners. It's all about changing additudes to food when they're young!
Hand down for Alton Brown! And by the way, anyone who lives in Atlanta and loves Alton Brown...he is speaking on March 29, 2008 for the Cobb Library Foundation. Check it out on the Cobb County Libraries web page.
i like gordon ramsay - he's broken into the US with more gusto this year. i had to admit though, guy fieri from the next food network star is really taking off with his shows - too bad he doesn't cook much in them.
I <3 AB! Love "Good Eats" and didn't miss a single episode of "Feasting on Asphalt" (either one).
Love Alton and Tom.
Gordon is my favorite!
i love watching Anthony Bourdain on tv... but when i went to NYC and visited Mario Batali's restuarant and Anthony Bourdains... i'd have to say... Mario Batali's food.. was 10x better..
Gordon Ramsay WOOT WOOT
I like Bizarre Foods' Andrew Zimmern!
What happened to G.Garvin?
