I rarely look at food specific magazines. I find that when I cook something new these days I follow the recipe online and have my laptop open in the kitchen while I make it. (Off to the side
of course so it doesn't get messy.)
I love Bon Appetit so I picked them first - but I have to say I actually end up making a ton more recipes from Everyday with RR!! So she comes in at a close second.
I love them all but the ones that I read most often are Everyday with RR and Everyday Food, those are the ones whose recipes fit my style and personality.
I used to have subscriptions to Vegetarian Times and Saveur, but I'm asking for a subscription to Everyday Food for Christmas. I love their simple recipes with pictures.
i like food & wine. for work, one of my clients runs in Gourmet so i've taken to reading it - and the same with a client who runs in Bon App - but F&W still has the warm place in my
heart
I am obsessed with Cooks Illustrated, the magazine, America's Test Kitchen show, the cookbooks, the website, they've turned me into an awesome cook this year!
Rachael Ray drives me crazy, but I have to say there are some really great recipes in her mag, and I tend to make those a lot more often than ones from Food & Wine...!
Someone got me a subscription to Bon Appetit last Christmas and I have yet to make one recipe from it, too complicated. Cooking Light is great though. I made a bread pudding from there last
weekend for a dinner party and it was a total hit. No one had any idea it was on the healthy side either (til I bragged and told them)
Donna Hay is good (expensive, though), but Gourmet is my favorite. Everyday and some of the others are a bit too easy. I like to challenge myself in the kitchen. I also gave up on Cooking
Light years ago because I like to bake, and, quite frankly, you can't make good desserts light unless they are naturally so (like baked apples or something).
this was hard....really like all of the fun, informative diff uses for stuff in cooks illustrated....like using shower caps as plastic covers for food in the fridge...so funny!
designergirl - i've had great baked goods from cooking light, one of my all time fave recipes for pumpkin pie cake came from cooking
light
syako - donna hay is great, but it's from australia so you pay a big import price. It's also interesting because their seasons are opposite of ours which means they have great summer treats
when we're in the middle of winter. It's a nice escape! maybe worth a splurge every now and again.
My absolute favorite is Cooks Illustrated. I love America's Test Kitchen and that they really view cooking as a science and try the recipes so many different ways. I've never made anything I
didn't like from this mag (I seriously can't say that about the others listed!)

This soup ends up being a good source of three blood pressure-lowering minerals since the milk adds calcium and the potatoes deliver a dose of potassium, as well as magnesium.
Food and Wine! I love it.

2Bon Appetit! My parents used it and now I use it
3Great ideas that are a little out of the ordinary!
Food and Wine used to be my favorite... now it just seems obnoxious and slightly snotty...

6Cooking light Veg Times and Martha Stewart all have great mags *and* great websites.
7I used to have subscriptions to Vegetarian Times and Saveur, but I'm asking for a subscription to Everyday Food for Christmas. I love their simple recipes with pictures.
8Food & Wine!
9I love fine cooking!! It's all about food, and the recipes are delicious, with ingredients that I either have on my pantry or use frequently.
10food & wine!
11Cooking Light or Cooking with Paula Deen. I also love Southern Living, but I guess that's more of a lifestyle magazine. Great recipes though!
12wait what about my Kraft magazine that comes in the mail for free?!! they have easy and healthy recipes!
13I love Martha Stewart Living. Her recipes are usually easy and taste great. Plus, there's decorating ideas in there as well.
14Cuisine at home!
15i like food & wine. for work, one of my clients runs in Gourmet so i've taken to reading it - and the same with a client who runs in Bon App - but F&W still has the warm place in my heart

19Better Homes and Gardens! The photography is gorgeous. And the ideas are so doable. =)
20I absolutely love cook's illustrated, followed by fine cooking, but Imbibe is my current fave. I wish there was a food equivalent!
21Rachel Ray - The others are still a bit too complex for me
22I choose Food and Wine , but I like Every day with Rachael Ray also.

24Donna Hay is hands down the best cooking magazine.
25princesshmo, i love donna also!

27My fave is Gourmet, which I'm fairly new to. Cooking Light is my second favorite. the have great recipes and never seen like light foods!
28I love Cooking Light!
29$92 for a one year subscription!?! Donna Hay's magazine is outrageously prices. Like I'd pay $15 per issue... is it really that good???
30I also love Cook's Illustrated. I've found it to be so educational.
31Cooking Light and Cook's Illustrated are my two favorites.
32this was hard....really like all of the fun, informative diff uses for stuff in cooks illustrated....like using shower caps as plastic covers for food in the fridge...so funny!
33I love Cooks Illustrated, but the all time best is Southern Living. I am a Georgia girl though.
34Martha Stewart or Southern Living (which wasn't on the list). Martha's is very organized and makes recipe finding easy!
35Love Bon Appetit.
36Southern Living!!!

38I chose Gourmet. We just recently subscribed to it and I like it a lot.

What are other people's favorites??
