My mentor recently moved to New York with his wife and new born baby. I miss him desperately and have yet to send him a housewarming gift. To show him my appreciation and send my well wishes, I want to get him a spectacular gift basket for Christmas. He's a crazy writer who enjoys simple, scrumptious foods. Can you help me find a gift basket filled with delicious goodies and awesome accessories? Look for gift baskets with a specific theme like the pasta one seen here by Dean and DeLuca. Bookmark the goodies you discover in the Yum Market on TeamSugar with the keyword tag Gift Baskets. Good luck in your search!

I love personalized gifts. It shows that you really put forth the effort. Very nice idea. Thanks!
I love that. I think it's a great thing to make on your own too! Pick a theme and go with it and ship yourself. Hmm.. there are a few stragglers on my list that I haven't decided on gifts yet...looks like I got an idea!
This has been a staple for years for me. I do foodie gift baskets (not usually in a basket though) for weddings, bridal/baby showers, birthdays, etc. I go to gourmet markets and the like to pick up things "most" people don't already have. Like if a couple is honeymooning in Asia, I do a Thai food basket which includes food, cooking tools, place mats, I'm sure you get the idea. It's a lot more fun that a standard old crystal vase. It's always a hit with men since they are almost impossible to buy for.
Me too, they can be anything. I did a "My Favorite Things" for my M.i.L. All my co-workers get homemade goodies.
Love the vase idea AmberHoney!!!
I love making personalized gifts, from food to hats. They are especially great when you get to share a fave recipe with friends!
I love doing this!
The Food Network had their Holiday Gift Basket show on over the weekend. So easy, but so cool!
I love giving gift baskets when I don't know something big to give to someone I really like and want to give something nice to. My roommates and I in college would always give them to each other. There's nothing in the world better than 20 little presents. Not even a big present.
This should be fun ... I actually bookmarked a ton of the a couple of weeks ago and added a few lists as well.

I love giving and receiving gift baskets too! I totally agree that 20 little presents are better than one big present. And speaking of Food Network gift baskets, 1-800-Flowers is actually carrying gift baskets by Barefoot Contessa and Paula Deen (http://www.1800flowers.com/refer.do?r=chefshp&d=10671) and they look great. I'm said that I missed all the gift basket episodes over the weekend
