I'm kind of weird about homemade foods...if I don't know the person who's giving it to me really well, I probably won't eat it.
I'm a middle school teacher and I ALWAYS get homemade treats from my students at Christmas. I never eat them. I appreciate the thought of course, but I don't know...I just can't do it.
I know this is weird!
1the thing on the bottom looks like hoho's!
2Awww, pinwheel cookies. I actually just leaked a tear when I saw them... my grandmother ALWAYS made them every time we came to visit. I keep saying that I'm going to make them because they're so good, but then I get too sad to follow through.
3i will def try the pinwheels!
4I made so many goodies this week! Chocolate truffles, peanut brittle, gingerbread caramels, fudge! Sending it all off tomorrow!
5All these sweets... I kind of agree with emalove. I was an elementary school teacher and I kind of got the willies eating anything my students made because I KNOW where those fingers have been. I know... sad. I appreciated the thought 100%!!!
Good idea: One parent gave me brownie mix in a festive jar that I could bake at home. Just add milk and eggs. It was perfect!!
6I only give homebaked goodies to family members...or those that ask for them. ( "Hey when are you going to bake me some cookies", etc) It's probably a good idea not to eat just anybody's goodies!!
7I'm always iffy about other people's food. Everyone that knows me knows that I randomly make some awesome goodies.
8Family and friends who request it. Its a lot of work honestly so I like to know that they will get eaten and appreciated.
9My mother makes pinwheel cookies every year!!!
Russian tea cakes and peanut butter balls are to die for too.
10I snagged some of these recipes. The pinwheels look great, Im going to modify the recipe some and crank some out for the man and I.
11Yum ,I love popcorn , any ideas???
12I've made sweet potato biscuits for gifts that went over very well. This year I'm making spice mixes to give out. I just can't justify stuffing other people's arteries when they haven't asked for it.
