Usually I try and stay away from uni-tasking kitchen gadgets but when I saw this hot chocolate pot in an email from Williams Sonoma, I suddenly found myself lusting for one. The pot promises an alluring aroma and a delicious homemade treat in minutes. It has an automatic frother that whips hot milk and is microwave and dishwasher safe.
What do you guys think of it? Have I gone Christmas crazy or is this hot chocolate pot a valid purchase?

1i actually saw something similar at bed bath & beyond today while i was out shopping and had the same internal debate, do i just want this bc it is the holidays or is this a justifiable purchase? glad to know i am not the only one! i didn't end up getting it, but, on the upside, my husband made me some when we got home!

4It's cute, but all you really need is the frother and you can use your own jug. I have a milk frother that I got for about $9 and use it all the time - great purchase. Never used it on hot chocolate though!
5I love it! But I don't think I'd use it much. On an off note, my kindergartner is having a Polar Express party on Friday at school, I sent a big jug of powdered hot chocolate, and that would have been a cute way for the teacher to serve it for them!
6I love it but I agree that it would not get used very often in my household. Maybe around the holidays and in colder weather, it would turn out like one of those appliances that just sit in my kitchen and never get used!

8I have seen a lot of hot chocolate makers in various stores this season. As a lifelong lover of hot chocolate, I would be thrilled to receive one of them for Christmas.

22I think its cute but I am a mean a$* hot chocolate and I would only use this to serve it and I would rather spend my money on cute mugs instead. On a side note I just spoke with Ina Garten and it so made up for me having to work on a sunday!!!

26Um, tell me again why you would need this? Couldn't you just as easily pour it from the pot or ladle it? I suppose its cute and great as long as you have the space for extra pots.
