If you think a turducken is an impressive display of protein, then you haven't seen anything yet. British farmer Anne Petch has created a massive 50 -lb. creation containing 12 different birds — 1. Turkey, 2. Goose, 3. Barbary duck, 4. Guinea fowl, 5. Mallard, 6. Poussin, 7. Quail, 8. Partridge, 9. Pigeon squab, 10. Pheasant, 11. Chicken, 12. Aylesbury duck — each one stuffed inside the next.
Dubbed the True Love Roast because it contains a different bird for each of the 12 days of Christmas, the roast costs around $1300 and serves 125 people. It also takes over 8 hours to cook completely and 4 hours to assemble. The whole thing is definitely extravagant, but I would absolutely have to partake in a bite or three. How about you, would you eat this roast?
Oh and if you think 12 birds isn't enough, Petch is hoping that they'll do a 21-bird roast next year.

1ewww gross
2Birds numbered 5 through 9 are totally stressing me out.
*Shiver*
3way too many birds
4If ever confronted with this monstrosity, sure, I'd try it. But it just seems like too much.
5ick
6So this would be a Turgoobarguimalpouquaparpiphechaylsducken??!!!
7
RosaDilia, that was awesome!
8I would never eat something like this. I enjoy trying one thing at a time and enjoying each flavor.
Not a chance.
9That is just an excessive waste, to me at least. Of course, I'm not a big turducken fan either.
10Turducken is gross - I don't even want to think about how icky this would be
11
12yuck!!
13i can't believe somebody would eat that much...
i ate chicken for lunch, i'm a bit queasy..
14I'd eat it as long as somebody else is paying!
15it wouldnt be a waste if everyone ate it.
16Cack!
17This is gluttony at its best. You can't appreciate the taste of the individual bird and it has no purpose - it's not like ea. bird enhances the other. I agree with most of you...It is a waste!
18sounds good for me
19Oh yea!
20Thats just too much.
21I don't think I'd ever seek this thing out, but curiosity would probably get the best of me if I was confronted with the opportunity to try it.
22i'm always up for trying something new...so HECK YAH! I've had the turducken...and I have to sey I enjoy the texture difference of each bird but it has to be cooked right otherwise the duck gets too dry...i wonder how the 12-bird roast tastes like...mmm, i'm drooling already...LOL
23I'm sorry but that is just extreme over kill. It just sounds so gross with each of them being stuffed inside the other...bleh.
24This whole thing reminds me of the SNL skit for the Mach 7 (or whatever) shaver.
If confronted with it, I'd certainly try it. But, I'm definitely not hankering for a Turgoobarguimalpouquaparpiphechaylsducken (nice, RosaDilia!
) or anything.
25What a waste. With that many meats, how do you discern one taste from another?
This tastes like...fowl.
26I'll eat anything. I just don't see the point of stuffing birds like one of those Russian dolls.
27This is really just gross.
28this makes me sick just thinking about it. if you had a huge gathering of people, i guess i can see why you would do it, but who has 130 people over for the holidays?
too glutinous!
29no way - i think that the flavors would get lost in something like that. there's enough controversy with the turducken - so to add that much more - not a good idea
30Uh, no.
31Looks like a cross contamination waiting to happen. Too many different poultries in one oven, and a lot people can't even correctly cook a turkey. Hmmm...
32Sounds good, but i really just think it's a big waste. So i just voted other.
33I would never buy it for myself or a dinner-party (too presumptuous to think your guest would enjoy it), but I would definitely try if I was a guest of a host who had it for their celebration.
34How would you even carve that? It seems like it be way more trouble than it's worth.
35Gross! That is really a waste.
36this isn't a new "creation" they used to do this way way way back like when Henry the 8th walked the earth
37No!
38This looks and sounds rather gross. *vomit*
39Wretched excess. Bleah.
Some of the featured poultry are delicious when roasted & served separately (especially the goose, duck or pheasant!), but wouldn't all of the flavors just get mushed together in this dish?
40See...this is my worst nightmare.
I don't mix my food. I typically eat one thing at a time..cause I like to concentrate on that one item before moving on to the next item. I know its strange!
If they made stylish dishes that had separations in them (like paper plates) I'd totally buy them.
41seems like such a waste
42It's a nit on the over do it.
43If you divide $1300 by 125 it's only $10.50 per person for a fancy meal like this. Now I only need to find 124 more people to go in with me.
