As part of our Best of 2007 coverage we asked you who your favorite female-celebrity chef was. Many of you had very strong feelings for or against Rachael Ray and Sandra Lee, but in the end Giada De Laurentiis was your favorite female chef.
While we have nothing but love for Giada, our favorite female-celebrity chef this year was Ina Garten, The Barefoot Contessa. Her recipes continue to be delicious, simple, and stunning. Her long-lasting love for her husband is inspirational. Plus, we got the chance to speak with her earlier this year. She gave us some wonderful tips and we learned first hand how fabulous she really is.

12Wow, this comes as a surprise. I watched her show and the recipes are good, but every time I sit in front of her, I fall asleep.
13I love Ina and her recipes actually do turn out great!!!!!!!!!! She has style and her love for Jeffrey(sp?) is wonderful!! My whole family loves her!!! Seriously Giada???? Has anyone ever tried her recipes??? They do not turn out at all and involve a lot of 'tweaking'!!! Therefore, my vote goes to the chef who's recipes actually look good enough to try at home and then they turn out just like they did on the show!!!

15Ina's my favorite...always has been. LOVE LOVE her recipes and live off of her recipes. I think she is probably the most "real" of all of the celebrity chefs...and I love her for that.

18I like Ina's recipes very much. Out of all the Food Network star chefs, I think that she is, by far, the best baker.
19Love Ina! She brings fabulous style and and joie de vive to eveything she creates - both in the kitchen and out. Her cookbooks are gorgeous and the recipes are simple, elegant and most of all - delicious.

21I hate Ina so much. I honestly cannot watch her shows! Giada on the other hand I love! She will be so cute as a pregnant woman!
22Cannot STAND Ina. She's so phony & SNOOTY & self-congratulatory with her stupid husband/lifestyle & such. Gag. Her recipes are too fussy. Have no time for this goofball.
23Yes, her recipes are great, but if I hear one more thing about the "Hampton's" I'm gonna gag. Yeah Ina, we get the message already, you live in the "Hampton's". Please, give it a rest already!!
