As part of our Best of 2007 coverage we asked you what the top foodie destinations in the US and the world were.
Your favorite US food city was New York City. However, we think our hometown, San Francisco — with its hundreds of restaurants, glorious farmer's markets, and innovative mixologists — is the best. This year, the city by the bay hosted the Fancy Foods Show and had several top chefs compete on reality TV.
Outside of the US, you picked Paris as your favorite foodie destination. While we love the French capital, this year it seemed that all things Spanish ruled. Famous for its luscious seafood, ground breaking chefs, and bubbly Cavas, we're dying to spend some time eating in Barcelona!

personally, since i'm from los angeles, i think the best food city, that's not overpriced or too hoity toity (ahem, sf and nyc) is los angeles.
however, what's the point of having a poll if you're just going to say how great your choice is?
1I like the way NYC and Chicago and other big cities have all the different cultural areas, so that if you are craving Greek food, walk a couple blocks and you can have it.
2Atlanta is often overlooked, but there is so, so much good food there.
3As much as I agree with you, Yum, (being from SF myself), I'll have to also agree with ktownpolarbear. "however, what's the point of having a poll if you're just going to say how great your choice is?"
4NYC has the same stuff as San Fran.
5Not surprised...
6Interesting...
7If u have ever been to the steel city u would know good food ! Its not the healthiest but the tase is great!
8Barcelona is an excellent place for food! All those little, back street restaurants and bars with tapas.
9I recently visited San Fran went to many of the "best" restaurants and their food SUCKED. I finally got a good meal when I gave up and went to McDonalds.
