You probably already know this, but I love the act of planning a party as much as the party itself! While Yum had 52 weeks of baking adventures this year, I planned 52 virtual parties! From the look to the drinks, I supplied you with inspiring ideas, tantalizing recipes, and crafty invitations. The invite sets the tone, atmosphere, and mood of an event so I always send handmade invitations. It also makes a lovely keepsake of the party. I've browsed all of the invites and picked out my top five. Pictured clockwise from the top right, they are:
- A Pride and Prejudice–themed book party
- A tropical-print invite to a luau-dinner party
- A gorgeous black, white, and blue wedding invitation
- A classic Thanksgiving invite
- A booklet invite to a knitting party that includes instructions on how to knit
How about you? What was your favorite invitation?

Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti
I really loved the black/white/blue wedding invitation!
1My fave is definitely the turkey. The photo looks fun, but in person this was the most fabulous card!
2Many were so innovative and creative. You could go to work for Hallmark if get tired of the Party life. My top ten:
1-Sweater The geeky look of those two guys is priceless.
32-Halloween Blood on the card
3-Cargodas Band Nice use of spilled beer
4-Cinco de Mayo
5-Mothers Day Your mom must have shed a tear
6-Welcome Back
7-Pool Party
8-Memorial Day
9-Beach Picnic
10-Big Game Too bad the big bad bear turned into a little cub
I really like the Pride & Prejudice invitation. Love the image, the way the text fits in the top right hand space, loved how you used coffee to stain the paper. Very creative!!! I'm a huge Jane Austen fan.
4I like the purple one for the knitting party. Just because it's pretty, plus the little how-to knit book idea included is genius. That way your non-knitting friends can learn how before showing up to the party clueless.
5They're all cute in their own way...
6Wow, they look so impressive all lined up!
7It's not on your list, but I totally love the ugly sweater party idea! But if I had to pick from your list, I'd go with the turkey. Multi-sensory cards are sooooo cool! Now if you can make it into a scratch-n-sniff card – although I don't think I want to smell turkey.
