One of my all time favorite dinners is linguine and clams. I love it so much I could eat a bowl of piping hot pasta and plump little clams every night. However, to expand my shellfish horizons, I've decided to experiment with mussels. Like clams, they pair perfectly with pasta.
In this recipe, the mussels are cooked in a red sauce made from canned tomatoes and bell peppers. The final result is a delicate and delicious pasta with fresh shellfish flavors. To explore the world beyond linguine and clams, read more.

1 (14.5-ounce) can whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped

36 mussels (about 3 pounds), scrubbed and debearded

- Add tomatoes and wine; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer 10 minutes.

Mussels=Awesome. Would try out this recipe but Mussels aren't very good in South Cali. Much better on East Coast.

5this is one of my favorite meals-perfect with some great bread to soak up the extra sauce! although I like a lil' more garlic
6I like most seafood, but NOT mussels. My father and sister love this meal though.
7This looks scrumptous! Can't wait to try it!
8I actually prefer mussels over clams. Mussels seems to be an overlooked seafood. We went to Perth (Australia) a few years ago. They serve mussels in a bucket. It was delicious!
9I make this dish all the time, but use tofu shirataki pasta to cut back on carbs. Can not even tell the difference...yummmm
10frutti del mare!
11Sorry, I just can't do mussels!
12I have an issue with food in which you have dig out things from the dish to eat.
13Mmm I love mussels. This looks yummy. It's making me hungry!
