Move over fast-food loving Americans, Britain has topped the list of countries who love fast food. In a joint study with the BBC, polling body Synovate determined that 45 percent of Britons agreed with the statement, "I love fast food too much to give it up." This is one percent higher than Americans and eight percent higher than Canadians. Granted, one percent is not that much, and I'm sure the poll has a small margin for error, but still it's interesting to see that we're not the only ones who love fast food.
So how about you, what do you think of the statement? Do you love fast food that much?

Urg I love it!
But I barely eat it. Maybe once every two weeks or so I treat myself...
I could easily give it up. I rarely eat fast food! I'd much rather eat at home or at a nicer restaurant.
I don't eat it as often as I used to, but I still wouldn't give it up completely. I'm sorry, but some days, there's nothing better.
I love it but I could give it up... I am just to lazy to give it up lol.
I couldn't give it up, sometimes i just crave a hamburger and fries.
It is my new years resolution to stay away from fast food. Even though it has only been 2 days it is really hard because fast food is so easy and convenient. I miss it but it's not healthy what so ever.
I think I eat fast food maybe 1-2 a yr.
Depends on what we are defining as "fast food" -- if you're counting places like McDonalds, Wendy's, Pizza Hut, etc., then I haven't eaten fast food in about 4 years. But if you're counting the entire genre, like any pizza whether it's from a gourmet pizza place or Dominos, or getting a veggie burger from Red Robin, then I probably wouldn't want to give it up, although I am sure I could.
I eat fast food everyday. It's pathetic. I can't give it up...
I eat fast food every now and again, but I get sick if I eat too much fast food. So I can live without it, if need be.
I don't eat fast food. I have fries maybe once or twice a year, but I'm fussy about it—they have to be fresh-cut, blah blah. Fast food freaks me out.
I could give it up except when on vacations. Sometimes they are the only saving grace... something familiar to eat.
I rarely eat any... I try to refrain from going there to begin with.
I couldn't give it up.It's so good and convenient.
it is very good and very convenient but i think i could go an entire yr without fast food. wait, are fruit and yogurt parfaits at mcdonalds counted?
I've been vegetarian for ages, fast food just doesn't occur to me.
I can't think of the last time I ate fast food... so this wasn't a hard decision.
I used to think i couldnt live without it, but that was in my early twenties when i was broke and drunk all the time and mcdonalds cheeseburgers at 1am were like hot love. Now, i could stay away from fast food forever since my "foodie" brain has matured.
I'm a junk food junkie, but I could give it up. I mean, it's like alcoholics - they CAN give it up, but it's hard. I go through periods where I'm all health-nutty, but if the wind so much as blows me wrong, I get off my routine and want to eat out. I don't think restaurant food is any better.
I don't eat fast food anymore
I never have cash and it is SO bad for you so I could definately give it up because I pretty much already have.
BUT I love the hell out of it, all of it in fact, I could eat it even more than Britney Spears does.
There are too many amazing taco shops in San Diego to give up fast food. And Taco Bell, mmmm. It's about self-control. I couuuuuld eat it every day, but I don't.
i hate fast food. i dont know why i hate any pizza or hamburguers i prefer chicken and veggies
i NEVER eat it so this is an easy one
i always thought that it would be hard to give it up - but now that i don't eat any meat and i'm in NYC - there are so many more things to have that i haven't had any fast food in months.
Other than Subway or D'Angelo's, I really don't eat fast food.
i wish i could say yes. I only eat chain fast-food only a couple times a year and usually while on road trips. I could do without that. However if my favorite taqueria is considered fast food, it's going to be tough.
i have already pretty much given it up...
Gave it up -early 2004 before I applied for gastric bypass surgery. Got stick of feeling jipped after eating at McD's or Taco Bell (Hey that's not how that should taste or that wasn't really what I wanted!). Haven't gone back but sometimes I do end up going hungry if I have to make an emergency long distance road trip cause that's all there is long the road - In n Out, McD, BK, TB, Subway - yuck.
Oh this would be a snap for me since I don't like fast food much. I only eat it when I have no other choice, like on a road trip or something.
I pretty gave it up in 2005, except for the occasional fruit and yogurt parfait from McDonald's when I'm on the road or whatever.
I'd totally give it up. If everybody gave it up there'd be so more healthier choices.
I've basically already given it up. I eat Fast Food maybe once every few months. Taco Bell when I can't make it to FreeBirds to get a burrito, and McDonald's wraps when in a hurry on a late night road trip.
My "least meal if on death row" would be from McDonald's. I'm embarassed but I can get enough!
But I wonder, maybe I'm obsessed because I never let myself have it.......
yall are CRAZY people! I don't eat junk food that much- maybe once or twice a month- but when that craving for a wendy's #1 with fries and a frosty comes, IT MUST BE SERVED
i agree with herojiedevivre, i rarely eat junk food (i don't even have anything that is worthy of being called junk food in my house) but sometimes i get these cravings for fast food and i get it when i'm out and about. for example today i have been craving for subway for days and after my internship i rewarded my self.
OMG, you guys are sooo much stronger than me. I don't eat there every day, but I need my Chic-fil-a or McD's fix every once in a while...it gives me something to look forward to.
I never eat fast food - never did, never will. My parents didn't take us for fast food when we were kids so I never developed a taste for it. I find most prepared food too salty and greasy for my likes anyway, so I don't think I'm in real trouble here. I like my food flavourful and fresh! Homemade curry all the way! That's my comfort food.
I don't love it too much to give it up, I'm just too lazy.
how could i ever give up taco bell?????
I try to eat it in moderation anyway, but if I developed a health condition or something that made fast food a big no-no I would definately give it up. I'd miss those whopper jr's though!
Convenient?! I find it extremely inconvenient to stop-what-i-am-doing, wait in a line, deal with incompetent people and never get what i actually ordered!!!
Fast food disgusts me. Although, I do eat at Subway on occasion. Even then I only eat the Veggie sandwich because I'm a vegetarian.
I never really had opportunities to eat it as a child, so when I got to college I ate it all the time. Now I do about once or twice a month but I don't know if I could give it up completely.
I have tried to give it up! But after a few days or weeks I just get the craving and I'm back to fast food.
I could give it up. The only fast food I ever eat anymore is the occasional turkey sandwich at subway...and that's only when I run out of food and don't have time to go to the grocery store. I think fast food foods are tasty (hamburgers, tacos, fried chicken, etc), but if I'm going to eat those things, I'd much rather make them at home and know exactly what goes in and know that what I'm eating is better for me. My guidelines when it comes to eating "bad" food is to make it worth it...if I'm going to have choclate cake, it's going to be GOOD cake, not little debbie. Likewise, if I'm going to have a hamburger, its going to be a good one, not a tiny little nasty meat patty slapped on a bun.
