Almonds, apples, cherries, blueberries, strawberries, kiwis, peaches, plums, raw celery, raw carrots, raw potatoes (can't even cut them, my hands get swollen), pears, ... So much stuff. On
top of that, I'm lactose intolerant and I have trouble sometimes digesting gluten.
I'm allergic to apples, cherries, and peaches. It just makes my throat itch. I used to be able to eat them as a kid; people are saying it's the pesticides that are used on them but I can't
eat the organic fruits either. I can eat the fruits cooked without any allergies.
I'm allergic to two pretty important grasses... sugar cane and oats. I can't eat most processed foods or go inside candy shops that make cotton candy or else my throat swells pretty fierce
and I have other anaphalaxys. I also react to coffee and alfalfa.
I am deathly allergic to carrots. I am allergic to all fruit that is not cooked unless its grapes, bananas, or citrus. I am also allergic to a lot raw veggies but since no one eats a pumpkin
raw, I am fine.
Ordering food out can be frustrating and defeating. It sucks. I have been a server on and off for 8 years so I understand how it can be annoying to servers to go back to the kitchen to check
on ingredients. But when a customer says, " can you please check on __ ___ because I am deathly allergic" and then it arrives on my plate, its really not okay.
I am allergic to the most random thing ever...Old Bay seasoning. Its really popular here in Baltimore, MD and on the east coast. its used a lot with crabs and shrimp here. but people go gaga
for it and put it on everything. I unfortunately react really bad, my throat closes up and my tongue swells up...aka: i can't breathe. not fun. I have had go to the hospital for it. NOT FUN!
but really random.
I personally don't have any food allergies, but my husband has Celiac disease (he can't consume gluten.) We can't even share toasters because eating just 1 crumb of wheat bread is
detrimental. It can be a real b*tch! Luckily I love to cook because he can't eat the vast majority of processed and/or pre-packaged foods and I don't mind screwing around with recipes to make
them gluten free.
I'm in the same boat as mn48225. At about age twenty I developed an allergy to a bunch of fruits, but only when they're uncooked. If I eat any my face (especially lips) will swell, throat
will itch and close up, and sometimes my hands will become itchy if I handle the raw fruits. The thing I miss most is being able to eat crisp apples. They just aren't the same when cooked.
A few months ago I ate an apple and my mouth swelled up. Ever since I was a kid, apples have also made my teeth tingly and my mouth itchy. So now no more raw apples for me! I'm also allergic
to just about everything else, too. Mold, grass, dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. But not bees. And not milk or nuts, thank goodness.
I never used to be allergic to anything but then about 3 yrs ago I noticed almonds made my throat close up even though I've been eating them my whole life, so do fresh cherries, nectarines,
and peaches. The almond one is hard, even almond oil in lotions makes my skin itchy.
i dont think i do - but i think that sometimes i feel like i'm allergic to crab or lobster cause i get hives or sick....but it's not a real food allergy i don't think
Strawberries. Luckily it isn't terrible- it just gives me bad hives. About once every 5 years or so I get this "I'm not allergic anymore idea and retest it." The last time it happened my
downfall was some Strawberry Daquiries that came into play. (That's a test of how allergic I am- I don't even know how to correctly spell Daquirie? How DO you spell that word?) I had a half
of one, turned bright red and itchy- which prompted some forced benadryl from some concerned sorority sisters- which led to me falling asleep on the couch at a part and, eventually, sleep
walking in front of ex-boyfriend whom I was still crazy about.
Lucky for me that ex, now my husband, still kids me about it and tries to keep me from testing strawberries again.
SweetnLow- I have a friend that's actually allergic to strawberry SEEDS. My friend was tested after breaking out in hives and they found out that its actually the seeds as opposed to the
fruit that most people are allergic to...not that you could really separate the fruit from the seeds themselves if you were to eat them!
I think everyone is somewhat intolerant of dairy, but people can handle it in different quantities.
If you think about what cow's milk is actually meant for....
I'm severely allergic to peanut! I break out in hives if someone eats peanut M&M's and then touches me... and my doctor said if I consume half a peanut, I prob. won't be making it to the
hospital in time! =O I do my best to be safe, but it gives my mom nervous breakdowns every time she even thinks about losing me (I'm 17...) We were in the ER all night last October after I
accidentally put a peanut pretzel in my mouth at a party (I spit it out before swallowing it, thank God!) Now when I ask to go to a party, she freaks out and makes me promise I won't eat
*anything*... lol
I'm allergic to something, but I can't figure out what it is. (I've broken into hives several times this year, but it's always after some sort of catered event where a lot of different
ingredients are involved.) i'm going to have to do the allergy test and find out. Although i think i'll be bummed if it's something i love. maybe i should just risk it?!
Flax Seeds...of all things. And I also had positive test results for millet, and sesame, and buckwheat as well... I never take chances with multi-grain bread, and I always have to make sure
my sushi doesn't come rolled in Sesame seeds.
I have a slight citrus allergy. Nothing serious, and not all the time. Sometimes, after eating citrus, I'll develope a red rash around my mouth. Or, in high school (hasn't happened since),
one section of my lips would start to itch then swell up for the day. I'd look like a partial Angelina for the day!
All nuts, (but peanuts), mangoes, apples, strawberries, carrots, kiwi, and whole bunch of seasonal and drug allergies.
Everyone thinks I'm crazy when I say I'm allergic to apples and carrots, good, unfortunately so, that I'm not alone in this 'crazy' allergy.
I have no food allergies....yet. My mom had no food allergies until she was pregnant with me, but during the pregnancy and to this day she is now allergic to most tree nuts and all raw fruit
except citrus, grapes and bananas. It is so scary because all it would take is a little raw apple or some ground up hazelnuts in a dessert to make her throat swell and kill her. I really hope
I don't develop these allergies when I'm pregnant!
Yes I do. Things with iodine (shellfish, red fish), fish from hatcheries and Atlantic coast fish, KIWI (I hate you devil fruit!), foods with sulfites or sulfur in it (hello sulfured molasses
I'm looking at you-you to dried apricots), Raisins. I'm sure more will develop because those all came about after I turned 18 or in my 20s or later.
Wait, the raisin one- that's more of and out and out hatred of raisins than an allergy. Raisins and I have been at war since I was three and someone give me raisins for halloween. Neither
candy nor fruit just pure torture.
I have the same sugar allergy as some above- raw apples, carrots, peaches, cherries and most stone fruit. non organic peanut butter gies me the same feeling...a slight itch in my mouth and
throat and lips that is easily remedied by some water or milk and chapstick. I hate raw carrots and I lament cherries ( my throat closes easy with them) but I can eat a green apple instead of
a red one because the sugar is different and I can get organic peanut butter which tastes a lot better. Oddly, I can eat raw peanuts en masse before I have even a tickle. and cooked carrots
are just as icky as raw ones, even if they don't get me sick.

5Almonds, apples, cherries, blueberries, strawberries, kiwis, peaches, plums, raw celery, raw carrots, raw potatoes (can't even cut them, my hands get swollen), pears, ... So much stuff. On top of that, I'm lactose intolerant and I have trouble sometimes digesting gluten.

7Tomatos are it for me for food allergies. But I am also lactose intolerant.
8tree nuts... walnuts, almonds etc. makes my throat close and hives .. good times! lol
9I am allergic to kiwi. I must always be super careful when eating fruit salad or fruit dessert I haven't prepared myself.
10I'm allergic to two pretty important grasses... sugar cane and oats. I can't eat most processed foods or go inside candy shops that make cotton candy or else my throat swells pretty fierce and I have other anaphalaxys. I also react to coffee and alfalfa.
11I get the itchy throat with raw carrots and soymilk- I always have to ask when trying any new 'healthy' drink...
12For me, as far as food goes, it's eggs and nuts "In large quantities". I'm also lactose sensitive. Outside of food, it's pretty much everything.
13I am deathly allergic to carrots. I am allergic to all fruit that is not cooked unless its grapes, bananas, or citrus. I am also allergic to a lot raw veggies but since no one eats a pumpkin raw, I am fine.

15I don't have any but my husband is allergic to so many food things. Some of his craziest ones are coffee, artifical sweeteners, and citric acid
16MSG
17Shellfish.
18Gluten. I have celiac's disease.

22My mother is dealthy allergic to soy which is horrible since soy is in everything
23Luckily I have no food allergies!
24When I eat Eggplant my mouth feels all itchy like i've been eating wool... does that count?
25Much like ashcwebb, I'm allergic to a whole slew of things, but luckily none of them are food.
26I never used to be allergic to anything but then about 3 yrs ago I noticed almonds made my throat close up even though I've been eating them my whole life, so do fresh cherries, nectarines, and peaches. The almond one is hard, even almond oil in lotions makes my skin itchy.
27dairy, eggs

32When I was little, I was deathly allergic to milk but I grew out of it. Lately, though, if I have too much dairy I have, ummm, "issues."

34me too, mn48225! my family and friends think i'm crazy, but i just can't eat raw apples, peaches, or cherries! it stinks
35No food allergies that I know of, but I think I'm becoming sensitive to something in beer. It makes me really, really gassy now.
36strawberries!!
37seafood

Doesn't classify as allergy but I'm lactose intolerant and also suffer from a bad case of alcohol flush reaction.
Thank god for my lactase enzyme pills. Otherwise I think I would just kill myself if I have to cut all dairy out of my diet.
43Wow. I'm surprised so many people have food allergies. Thank God I don't have any. It must be horrible.
44I have no food allergies....yet. Livyourlife, do you carry an EpiPen? You sound like you should be.
46Yes I do. 47I found out just last year that I am allergic to Sugar... I've had to learn how to control it
48Everything has sugar in it!!!!

49yes, sadly, i'm allergic to tree nuts, codfish, and BANANAS of all things. (can you tell which one i miss the most???)
none of these allergies manifested themselves until i was 19 years old.
