Love it!! But sorry guys, there's no caviar on Sushi!!!!!! Unless you pay your sushi hundred bocks!!!! On sushi, you can find some salmon's eggs or limp's eggs (like you can see on the
picture: there are some black and red one)
Caviar is grey, not black!
So I couldn't really say what it tastes like on its own. The sound of it doesn't really appeal to me, but people pay big bucks for it so I'm assuming it tastes delicious?
I've tried it once... never again. I honestly can't understand how people can like it (not slamming you if you do, I just can't see how it's possible!). Blech.
Yes, I've had it in sushi and I like the texture of biting into little eggs. Not just the little bitty ones surrounding a roll, but a lump of caviar on top of some rice and surrounded by
nori. Very tasty and pretty.
I hate to be Miss Foodie Information but here goes.
The fish eggs on sushi are not caviar. Caviar are fish eggs that have been processed with salt to preserve them. The Eggs on sushi are the Raw Roe (eggs) of certain fish, mainly Tobiko which
is flying fish roe (the orange ones)or Masago which is smelt roe, sometimes you can get Salmon Roe which is larger and saltier.
I love Caviar, its very very fishy and salty and best in small amounts.
My favorite scene in a movie with caviar is in BIG when Tom Hanks goes to that office party in the white tux and eats the caviar than proceeds to spit it out and try to wipe his tongue off!
well I just got back from Ukraine yesterday and I swear my husband's family ate caviar at every meal. I've tried a few kinds but my palate is yet to be sophisticated enough for it... I just
see Nemo and his siblings... Anyway they taste too much like salt water from the ocean...
Never tried it but when I'm in the Ferry Building and I walk by Tsar Nicolas and they offer samples it's always when I cannot eat. One day I will plan and try a tiny bit, just to say "tried
it hate it or tried like it".
I've had caviar, roe, fish eggs (look it up in the dictionary) no matter how you label it, it's fish eggs. If you have to acquire a taste for it why eat it? I love ALL food but can't stomach
caviar, too crunchy.
I've never had it and I don't think I want to try the cheap kind. I'd rather wait to have the really good stuff if I am going to eat little baby fisheys
I guess only the very small kinda on sushi...but otherwise no. My russian lover thinks its the greatest thing since sliced bread but personally...drinking salt water tastes better

27I bet I would love it!!! I have only had the masago or salmon roe... caviar is too rich for my blood!
28I don't eat fish or animals, but even back when I did, I HATED caviar!
29I love love love the roe on/in sushi, but I've always found caviar really unappealing and have never tried it. Kind of odd, that.
30I love it, but it's so expensive to buy.
31I love caviar. I'm always so excited when I go to a party where it is served. YUM.
32i've never had it and i don't think i wanna try it!
33Never tried it before but it looks delicious!
34I haven't tried it before, but I want to.

37No. I don't like/eat fish but tried caviar a few years ago to see what it was like and it's wayyyy too salty for me! Not a big salt fan.
38I've never had it, but I want to try it
39i like it. the kind you get on sushi is a bit different and it is called fish roe (tobiko).
40I have had it before and it is fine. I won't go out of my way to have it though. I regularly eat sushi with fish eggs.
41Never had this before.
42I've never had it and I don't think I want to try the cheap kind. I'd rather wait to have the really good stuff if I am going to eat little baby fisheys

P.S. 4BYDRDS - totally wait for the good stuff (i have not had it in years!, but I will continue to hold out until I can enjoy it again!)
44I have never tried it and most likely never will.
45I love it!
46I guess only the very small kinda on sushi...but otherwise no. My russian lover thinks its the greatest thing since sliced bread but personally...drinking salt water tastes better
47I've never had straight-up caviar, but I do love the roe on fish eggs so maybe I'd like it. I'd certianly be willing to try it.
