Although they are usually associated with children's birthday parties, balloons can be a chic enhancement to your event's atmosphere. Large quantities can be purchased at minimal prices, making them a simple and affordable decor idea. They come in every color imaginable and in a variety of different textures, allowing them to fit into any theme. Attach to chairs, fences, banisters, or tape to walls in interesting arrangements. My favorite way to decorate with balloons is to cover the entire ceiling with stringless globes.
What do you think about balloons as party decor? Are they old fashioned or stylish?

What a great idea! Love it!!!
1I like balloons but I'm not sure in THAT amount.
2I have done a lot of events using balloons. They are a great cheap decorating trick, on the ceiling or tied to chairs and such. The key to this is A LOT of balloons- a few scraggly balloons here and there look chintzy.
3I think you have to be very careful when using balloons. They become very tacky very fast. I don't think I would typically use them for anything besides a kids birthday party.
4I love the picture of the gold and silver, I think they look nice because they aren't sheer, they look matte and I think that makes all the difference. I don't like the whole tieing balloons to chairs or walls, but covering the ceiling I think looks great... and even though the cost is minimal I don't think it looks "cheap".
5I like the idea! I love balloons
6Hello Senior Prom Much? I think they are tacky.
7They remind me of my sorority recruitment parties. They can look good if done right.
Make sure none of your guests are allergic to latex because it can be bad...
8i have to agree with the tacky and senior prom comparisons. balloons can be cool...if you're 8.
9Balloons are such an ecological waste!! Use live plants for centerpieces and then give them to guests to take home!
10I think they're a cute decor for a children's party but other than that, I'm not a fan. I don't know, but seeing a lot of balloons in once room and hearing the sound of them popping every minute annoys me and makes me go crazy.
11I know someone who's afraid of balloons. It's called Globophobia. Besides the latex allergy thing you gotta make sure none of your guests have that.
Of course with plants there is the issue of plant allergies...
12Not sure...
13After a few martini's your guests can lay on the floor and throw darts at the balloons.
14For my New Year's Party I covered the floor in ballons. 144 gold and silver. It made for a lot of fun after a cocktail or two and really made our house look a lot more festive. It actually turned out quite a bit classier than I thought it might! And running through the room and kicking up ballons around you is awesome!
Wish I had done the ceiling too.

16personally i like it - but it reminds me of when i was 13 going to tons of bar and bat mitzvahs. that's all they had - balloon ceilings and balloon arches. although i do like 'throw backs' - so they are ok with me
17They look stylish, with the gold and silver. As long as they stick to classic colors like that, it'll be okay.
18I have done this the last several years for New Year's Eve - all jewel tones, turn to the lights down, and it adds a festive touch.
19I'm having bad flashbacks to high school dances
20we're doing this for our party in two weeks! ahhh i'm so excited!
21not that old fashion...it can be stylish...depends on how you do it... anyway...party is not complete without balloon...!hahaha
