When I saw this iwavecube Personal Microwave ($129.95) last night, I immediately scoffed at how useless it was. Then I remembered that I don't personally own a microwave, it takes up too much space. I then also remembered that sometimes I really wish I did. Like when boiling up one cup of water, or melting down chocolate. So now I'm second guessing my ridicule and think it might be an interesting idea after all — if not rather expensive. How about you, what do you think of this personal microwave?

It also might be good to use at work.
1It does seem a bit useless, but I suppose if you don't have a regular microwave and don't generally need one, but would just like one for convenience, this would suit just fine...
2I'm actually a little surprised you don't have a microwave, yumsugar. I couldn't live without mine. I'm all about heating up leftovers.
This does seem a tad useless, but I guess it would be good to have for small things (if you don't already have a big microwave).
3i love it for my desk at work!
4perfect for coffee
tea
or a quick mini nuke
Seems pointless...
5I guess if you don't already have a microwave it could be useful, but I do, so I agree with aimee... it seems rather pointless.
6I'd rather just have my regular sized microwave. I hardly use, but when I do, I wouldn't want to be limited in the size of what I'm putting in there.
7How do you not own a microwave?!? Wow....I thought everyone had one these days.
8The size limitation does bother me. Not matter how cute it is, it should also be practical.
9I think it would be great for those who live in urban areas where everything is jam packed. I don't know though for those that have that space to have a full sized microwave.
10I don't own a microwave either!!!! At first it was just a cost issue (to broke to buy one!) but now I don't think I ever want one! My boyfriend and I have been eating really healthy and I feel like a microwave can tempt you to eat unhealthy foods like popcorn, bagel bites, hot pockets, etc. Also, whenever we have leftovers we reheat them in the oven. It takes a little bit longer, but the outcome is SO much better! I love oven heated leftovers - they taste better!!!!!! I also bought a tea maker for my bf's birthday and this is how we make our tea or hot chocolate. It is fairly quick and the machine is very small. I don't know I think microwaves are stupid so this thing is DEFINITELY really stupid~!
11It's not a bad idea! And it's kind of cute too
12its cute! and i LOVE my microwave!
13i mean i only use it to heat up left overs and to boil water
but i would be so lost without it!
Pass. Just too much gimmick for me.
14I have lived with some pretty small kitchens and think this would be great for a dorm or a small kitchen. Obviously, you would not be cooking in it but reheating individual portions or liquids, softening butter, etc would be great. The price needs to come down a lot before I'd seriously consider purchasing it though.
15Oh no! Something else I want.
16How could you not have a microwave?? Where do you guys live? To me, that is like not having a phone, or internet, or TV?? How is that even possible?
17Why not just get a full sized one for , oh I don't know, $50 less than this one. Seems silly to me.
18i don't have a microwave. i get along just fine without one, too!
19I wish I could give up my microwave but it's a mental block for me. I do see where this could be useful if you don't have space for a regular one
20why spend all that money on something like that? just invest in a (cheaper) big microwave and then you can put things like plates in it if you have to quickly reheat a meal or want a microwave pizza.
21It's so cute...I would use it at work, for heating up soup and coffee.
22I think its really cute and would have been great in my old place since we have zero counter space.
23I love it, but I would never spend that much on it.
24A regular microwave would be much more useful, since they can hold bigger things, not just a cup of coffee.
25That seems like such a great idea for a small office with no central kitchen. You could heat up a cup of soup or some tea. I think it's really useful!
26I don't like it. It looks too small to do anything spectacular but I guess it would be nice for work to warm up soup or warm beverages.
27It's sort of a clever idea, but at that price point you might as well buy a full-sized one.
28Love it .. Great for the office
