This tea is called Monkey Picked Tea, and it's not just a name it's a fact. According to legend, monkeys used to pick tea from high branches and brought them to their masters. The masters — mostly monks — thought it was delicious and so a cycle was born. These days, the monkey picking tea practice has all but died out, but apparently one remote village continues the tradition. Each bag of tea ($24.99) contains about two ounces of loose leaf tea, or approximately 28 cups. Oh and I should tell you that no monkeys were harmed in the tea-picking.
The flavor is supposed to be amazing, but to be honest, I haven't tried it yet. What do you think, is this something you'd want to try?

I would love to try this! I LOVE tea and I think it is so cool it is actually picked by monkeys!!!
1I would give it a try!
2That's so cute! I really like seeing all the artisinal products on the market nowadays. It's nice to see something new on the shelves.
3I'd try it
4I saw that on ThinkGeek earlier this morning when I was doing my online early Christmas browsing. It would make a great gift for a tea lover that needs something different from the standard Earl Grey!
5Monkey picked tea is WAY better than Kopi Luwak...the coffee made from beans that civets have eaten then passed. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw this tea. I would try monkey picked beverages, but not sure you could pay me enough to try the other!

6As long as it's not monkey pee or monkey doo, I'd try it!
7How can I determine that the monkeys are being paid a fair wage in sweet, sweet fruits? I wouldn't want to support a business that don't treat their monkeys fairly.
8Umm no. I LOVE da monkeys! But monkey throw poo, so I don't want them touching something that goes in my mouth.
Oh sure the monkey and I can play cards but pick my tea - no.
9It would be a killer present for a tea aficianado friend!
10I would have to be really sure that no animals were harmed, but it might be something i would try.
11neat...but too pricey for me.
12Ew. No.
13Forget the tea. I want a monkey!
14I would love to try it!
15ick, no. i'm pretty sure there is no "employees must wash hands before returning to work" policy.
16I love tea...it's probably good!

Now that was too
funny.
And yes, I would also give it a try.
18I've had that exact tea. It's oolong, a mildly strong oolong. I actually really like it.
19I've tried it, I think it's a little stronger then regular tea, it's good tho.
20Awww, monkeys. I'd have to be sure they are treated well and aren't slaves and then I'd try it.
