Would You Lick a Cupcake-Flavored Greeting Card?

Greeting cards are having a Wonka-esque moment. American Greetings has just launched Tasties, a line of peel-and-lick cards that include a strip flavored to taste like doughnuts, margaritas, and vanilla cupcakes. Wild! The concept probably sounds much cooler than it is, but that's not going to stop me from seeking it out. What about you? If you've spotted one, please do weigh in on it below!

This idea has been stolen from flavorcards.com Mauriece from Fifth Element, has spent more than 10 years working on his idea; had won awards; been in papers and on television. The first company he presented his idea to was American Greetings. They signed a non-disclosure agreement and American Greetings waited until that expired and came out with this line called Tasties. Mauriece has tried to peacefully and quietly work with American Greeetings to and settle what is rightfully his own invention; he is being taken advantage of because he is a small company. This is completely unethical way of doing business especially from one of the largest greeting card manufactures in the world. Stay tuned as we will continue to fight and take back what is ours. If it's designed like Anon#8 described, I'd probably try it. I think I'd prefer a scratch-n-sniff type card, though.

You don't actually lick the cards! The strips (like a listerine breath strip) are sealed in in a tamper-evident foil pouch and then the whole card is wrapped in plastic! It's completely safe and all 4 flavors are delicious!

Hopeully they are protected so people can't lick them in the store.

When I was a kid I would have but as an adult no. I would give it to a little kid and let them have fun with it. I still scratch and sniff Scratch N' Stiff stickers when I come across them. If a taste a cupcake I want a cupcake. If I smell a yummy cupcake I want a cupcake. No taste, no smell then having a cupcake is the farthest thing from my mind.
