How Do You Take Your Coke: Plastic, Can, Glass, or Cup?

If you're a Coca-Cola expert, well-versed in the company's slogans, special-edition flavors, and history, then you probably know that on today's date, in 1971, Coca-Cola introduced the plastic bottle.

However, when I go for a Coke, I want it ice-cold in a can. It just doesn't taste the same to me in plastic, and it gets too watered down in a cup with ice. Do you agree? What's your preference?

I don't drink soda, but my favorite always came from a fountain. My second choice is a can.

Plastic-I like the 12 or 14 oz size as my allotment for the day and I can collect the points. Cans-are alright. I hardly drink fountain coke since it doesn't taste the same to me. I can rarely find the bottles.

In this order: Glass, fountain, can, plastic bottle... For some reason plastic bottles are never really cold enough, by the time you're finished the coke is warm and too sweet, and if you drink part of it and save the rest for late it gets flat no matter how hard you screw the top on. Def not a plastic bottle fan.Glass is BY FAR the best.

It definitely tastes different based on what it's in. I know it's bad, but I HAVE to have it in a can!

The only way I don't like it is in fountain drinks or from a 2L bottle. I don't think it's as fizzy that way.

I really don't care how my diet coke comes, as long as I can have it! I usually buy it in a bottle and then pour it into a cup of ice. Same if I buy a can at work, I get a cup full of ice to go with it.

Any way I can get it works for me. I gave up sugar and sugar substitutes for FitSugar's 'Give It Up Challenge' so now I'm really jonsing for some Diet Coke!

I like it best in glass, but my area doesn't have glass recycling, so I drink it in cans, my other favorite.

I like cans to have at home, since it's just me and a 2-L would go flat pretty quick. But I do love getting it in the fountain at 7-11. I like to mix the diet Coke and regular Coke together.

Coke in a glass bottle is my absolute favorite — I agree that it doesn't taste the same in plastic! I feel like glass keeps it coldest and doesn't leave any metallic aftertaste.
