Apple Jacket: Love It or Hate It?

I've seen many a useless product in my life, but I find none as totally and completely useless as this apple jacket. Since when does fruit need clothing accessories?

A hand knitted sweater, this jacket fits snugly around most medium sized apples and comes with a cute little button. If you want to keep your apples cozy start saving because these jackets cost $20.00 each.

What do you think? Is an apple jacket useful or useless?

i love the idea, cause i always want to grab an apple and have somewhere sanitary to put it. but i'm a college kid, not a mom, so i don't have paper bags or ziplocks lying around often. $20 is a lil crazy considering that's what some human sweaters can cost, but whatever. people buy stuff.

i have one and LOVE it! it's been very useful for me. everyday i would throw an apple, wrapped in a paper towel so it wouldn't get bruised) in my bag before work. when i saw these i had to have one! i'm not wasting paper towels anymore and it really does look cute sitting on my desk. i can't believe they're going for $20 now...don't know if I would've paid that. Mine was only $12.

I think it looks so cute! It would be nice if you were using apples as party favors, or as a gift. I wouldn't pay $20 though,.... maybe more like $10.

There isn't even $20 of yarn used and it probably takes not even 30 minutes to make. Rip Off! Cute though, I'd buy it for $2.50 :P

As an elementary school teacher, this would definitely make the "apple for teacher" a much cuter gift! I would be more eager to accept an apple in a cute little sweater than an apple shoved at the bottom of Timmy's grubby little backpack!

I've read about apple jackets before on the Hungry Girl newsletters and I guess they're meant to keep your apples off your desk so they don't gather bacteria and stuff (you know how they say that desks are dirtier than a public toilet) so even though price is obviously RIDICULOUS, I think it's a cute and sanitary idea! :)
