Axe Chocolate Cologne: Love It or Hate It?

Axe, the men's grooming brand, has recently come out with a new line of chocolate-inspired products. If girls like chocolate, they'll like a guy who smells like chocolate, right?

The concept seems a little out there to me, but I've never been a fan of fragrances that smell like food. The commercial for Axe's Dark Temptation is pretty funny, you can check it out below.

Then tell me: would you want to ~~bite~~ kiss a guy who smells like he works in a chocolate factory?

WEll,let me be the first to tell you all who think this product is a bomb...you are WROG'O ! This is the only Axe product that moves off of the shelf as soon as it is placed there. It smells musky like a mans scent and has a slight chocolate hint to it,which drives my lover crazy. Everyone loves the smell of the deorderant as well,as it is not an over owering smell,and btw it works. I use it and it keeps me from stinking all day and night,even if I skip a day it still works,so what you are talking about simpley is not true. Also incase you can't figure this one out,this product is aimed for gay guys as well,who love this product. All of this talk about what your man should smell like is crazy...ever ask him what he really thinks about the way you think you smell....lol. I bet he thinks you stink ! Infact there is a huge trend for men who are looking for a scent that dose smell like chocolate...they llike it,and why not who really has to smell you all day right...lol You all surely must not be getting the right attention from your man or giving him any either...lol What man dose not place food above all else,really now

it doesnt smell like chocolate.but to me its smells so good!its like a drug!!!!i took sime from my friend any sparayed ont he bottom of my shirt.lol.so good.he wont buy me any!thts how much i loved it and now im searchin it!ahh!whtever.i wasnt gonna put it on tho!

My boyfriend wears this, and honestly I love it. It doesn't really even smell like chocolate, but there's something so sexy about it. I always make him spray his old shirts, so I can wear them and smell him. ;)

I love this Axe spray so much, it drives me crazy :D Both my best friend & boyfriend wear it. Some of those Axe deodorants are a bit too much though, I admit. For some reason though, I do not think this spray smells like chocolate? It sure does look delicious however.. (:

I hate Axe. It's a cheapo latino teenage boy junior high locker room product...but Dark Temptation smells reeeeally good, and all ages and ethnicities love it, because chocolate is a favorite in any culture. It's much different than any cologne I have, and it smells better than my 50 dollar Acqua di Gio. I was wearing Dark Temptation at the deli counter at the grocery store tonight, and the girl who helped me was totally flirting with me. And I never have girls flirt with me like that!

Axe anything is absolutely disgusting and overwhelming! We were at Six Flags and some Axe rep was there spraying people randomly walking by and we got hit with the overspray! It actually burned my throat for hours and an hour later my legs were aching from the chemicals in the spray just like they do when someone in my neighborhood has chemlawn sprayed or the mosquito spray truck comes around. Took me awhile to figure that out, but pesticides, herbicides, chemicals of all kinds cause me all kinds of nerve damage. I say NO to any AXE product for so many reasons other than I just don't like the smell. It's actually toxic and not healthy for anyone to use.

I have always hated axe products, they smell terrible! But then, this guy who i was hanging out with had it, and it was amazing. He really was as irresistible as chocolate. It didn't smell like chocolate though.

its not actually supposed to smell like chocolate,, on the can it says "deep temptation as IRRESISTIBLE as chocolate" so yeah not chocolate and i think it smells alright

i agree with whoever said its the mixture of the man's smell, plus the axe cologne. my boyfriend uses it and it smells delicious on him. but when an unknown subject decided to spray axe in my face, it also sprayed my jacket. and the jacket smells good, but not like my love. it doesn't even taste like chocolate, by the way. ;-P

Okay, it doesn't even smell like chocolate. It's called "Dark Temptaion", and the ad says it's 'irresistable as chocolate' not smells like it lol. It smells realllllly good and I'm obsessed with it. I hate all other axe tho :O

Here is the skinny, some do and some don't, ( like it that is ) Different fraqrances react diferently on different individuals, due to the difference in skintypes and chemicals in the body, that will cause a cologne to smell badly on one person , and smell so good you drool at the idea of smelling it again. Wat I am saying is simply if it works on you and you get good comments then go for it, if not then take the gals shopping with you and find one that works for you with your body type, once you find the one that makes their knees weak and gives them a shiver (when on you) that is the golden ticket. Willie Wonka would be proud of you too !

I don't use axe, but I wanted to test the chocolate smell theory. So I bought a hersey's, rubbed a small amount on my neck, and wrists. And put a piece in my mouth. Studies have shown women like the smell of chocolate (REAL CHOCOLATE), not chocolate smelling cologne. I guess it has to do with natural or organic or something. anyway I got hit on immensely that night, and rejected a few girls also. I'm also black so I already look like a candy bar...lol

iamnotamused , calm down i dont like the way they made amputees look like but they tried to have humour at the same time not realising about others whom who have lost limbs , i know ppl who lost limbs in a workspace and one of them laughed at the add however it sounds dumb chocolate .. lol commical scent but meh !! ... but the commercial ios freaky tho

When i first saw the commercials i thought they were funny and also thought that it would smell nasty.. until one day i went to walmart and decided to smell it out of curiosity.. it smelled pretty good! not like chocolate at all tho! so i bought it.. ive been using it since then.. ive also gotten pretty good reviews from girls on how i smell when i wear it.. im not gay but a couple of guy friends told me i smell good too! haha.. yeah im satisfied with it.

I do not give a rip if you want to ravish your "baby" when he puts on that coloogne... That ad is degrading to amputees and it truly SUCKS... I hope my Grandbabies have more respect for handicapped because I am now certain "you" dont... read before you comment, or dont bother at all

I was never into the Axe products, until a friend of mine told me about this "chocolate" scent. I saw it in the store and sprayed a sample...not too bad at all. Think of a warm not too sweet scent with that creamy chocolate undertone. The "chocolate" is notr the strongest smell in there, it does not smell like a hershey's bar. I bought it and for once to my amazement, it was like the Axe ads. Girls were getting closer to talk to me, even people I have known for a long time. I am sold.

I absolutely love the scent. My boyfriend sprayed it on and I was blissfully intoxicated... when I asked him what scent it was, I was surprised it was the chocolate one. Now, it's my favorite axe scent, and it just turns me on when he wears it. However, I believe that it's not necessarily the scent of the cologne that a man wears... it's their body's chemistry that makes the scent appealing or not. Some sprays just don't mix (or smell good) on certain men... but the chocolate axe spray definitely smells irresistible on mine! :)
