Batter Finger: Love It or Hate It?

A couple of weeks ago, I called a peanut butter and jelly spreader totally useless. However, many of you thought it was quite useful and admitted to wanting one. When I came across this batter finger — a tool that helps you lick batter from a bowl without getting your finger dirty — I immediately thought of the pb&j spreader. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about the finger; it's fun but I don't know if I want one in my kitchen. I like to lick my fingers when making a delicious cake batter. How do you feel about it? Do you love or hate the batter finger?

That's cute! My girlfriend and I just baked cupcakes, too, lol. It would've come in handy!

I like using a flat rubber spatula. That doesn't miss a bit of batter in the bowl. ;)

using your finger is part of the fun. and really, the finger thing looks a little perverse. don't think i want to see a little one with that in their mouth.

It's a cute little gadget, but I see it as a waste of space/money. As someone else mentioned, why not use a utensil that is more of a multi-tasker and not a uni-tasker? That being said, it might be a cute gift for a little girl or little boy that likes to help bake... like as part of a gift basket or something to that affect.

YOU SHOULDN'T BE LICKING BATTER, PERIOD. Seriously. My best friend's brother died from salmonella poisoning from licking the bowl from a batch of chocolate chip cookies that contained raw eggs. Stupidest thing ever, because you shouldn't have a reason to use it.
