Fizzy Berry Sangria
Ingredients
2 cartons each blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries
14 Basil leaves
8 oz. Simple Syrup
4 oz. Crème de Cassis
1 box Blush Wine (or 7 bottles of inexpensive Rosé*)
Top Soda Water**
Directions
- In a mixing vessel, add all ingredients (except soda), cover and refrigerate for 48 hrs.
- For serving, use a red wine glass and pour sangria over crushed ice.
- Top with soda.
Makes 1 punch bowl.
*I used La Ferme Julien; a French Rosé sold at Trader Joe's for $4.99.
**I served this at a surprise party I was hosting and didn't have time to make everyone an individual cocktail. Thus, I added a bottle of sparkling Rosé to the bowl, placed an ice bucket near the punch bowl, and let everyone help themselves.
