Heston Blumenthal first came on our radar through the ample, glowing press surrounding The Fat Duck, his three-Michelin-starred temple to molecular gastronomy. Never one to rest on his laurels, Blumenthal now sits at the helm to a small but thriving high-end restaurant empire, including Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Hinds Head, and The Crown at Bray.
While we daydream about dining at one of his ventures, we're hoping to add one of his cookbooks to our shelves in the meantime (in particular Heston Blumenthal at Home
or The Fat Duck Cookbook
). Until then, we'll satisfy our cravings with his studied take on gooey scotch eggs and triple-cooked chips (fries, in American speak).
