You don't wanna get caught with your pants down, so you better get ready. Clean knife! You have to clean the knife, because, you know, if you don't clean, you know, like, there's a lot of bacteria with a knife. You know, it's a very dangerous thing. There's some basic rules to certain things. When you drink you can't drive. Yes. If you have raw fish, put it in a cooler. And when you are married, don't cheat. I was really young, maybe in high school and I was peeling a carrot like most people would, just straight down and the chef was like, "What are you doing? You're wasting time just go up and down with the peeler on the vegetable and then you peel twice as fast. Genius! What a smart idea. Seasoning is huge so don't be afraid of salt and then the other thing I'd say is add a little vinegar, add a little lime juice, add a little lemon juice and suddenly it'll bring everything to life. Michael Symon, Bobby Flay, they both tell you and I absolutely agree, try not to cook with the extra virgin olive oil, it's too expensive, and you cook out that extra virgin flavor. So finish with it. First be organized, find the best ingredients, cook them simple, and choose a good wine with it. My style of food and cooking in my restaurants, it's simplicity with great ingredients with pretty much simple cooking techniques, that sort of deliver excellence. If you're going to bake, don't go into the kitchen with the mindset of you're about to make dinner. You need to, kind o,f clear your head a little bit and just know that you're about to embark upon a process. Just focus on food. And make sure that cooking is the most important thing to you. Just cook from the heart. That's probably the best advice I've ever received from anybody Never let the tea sweat, plan in advance, and lots of fun drinks.
