Branch Salad Server: Love It Or Hate It?

In preparing for salad week, I came across these branch salad servers. The motif draws from an old-fashioned design, and yet manages to stay modern. However, there's something about them that I just don't like, they're almost too rustic. Or maybe it's because they come across as weapon-y? What do you think? Love 'em or hate 'em?

Interesting concept, but I think the design could be tweaked a little and maybe it wouldn't look so threatening. I don't think I would snatch these up if I passed by them in a kitchen store though, I prefer my utensils to not look like Medeival torture devices, lol.

I love them, but they might only be brought out for Halloween

the branch servers are just beautiful...they would make for an amazing photograph of food. the dark color is really unusual, too.

maybe I'd have to see them in real life...I think they might look good large but I keep picturing them small!

Whoever said they look scary is right. "Spooooky" was my first thought. But I like them.

I really like them, but I agree that the colour isn't great. They'd be nicer in wood, or even something like red or orange.

I like them in theory (I guess meaning I think they're kinda cool to look at) but I wouldn't want to use them.
